I've been on atkins for just over the last month. I strictly adhered to induction for the first 2/3 weeks. Now I'm staying prity close to it still but sometimes want a snack / treat. Since savory (crisps, peanuts etc) have always been my downfall I find Pistachio nuts (I know nuts are banned on propper induction) are great. You have to shell meaning only one a a time and I find this means you eat them slower.

Has anyone got a favourite thing they snack on or other ideas for me who doesn't want to stray too far from the induction type foods.

Hi!

I'm a fan of dark chocolate. Thorntons do a really nice one that's 70% cocoa (it's got a red wrapper). It has about 3g carbs per good-size square. That's pretty good, and I usually manage to restrain myself to 2 squares at a time.

Or if you are at home you could have what my bf calls 'fake cheesecake': a 1 - 2 inch cube of philadelphia mashed up in a cup with 1/2 teaspoon of splenda and a drop of vanilla essence, and then rolled in a dessertspoon of ground almond. Very yummy!

I also like almonds and brazil nuts - they're usually good value in Nature's Way, they're really good for you and they're easy to carry around in your pocket for when you get the munchies.

Oh, and those individual portions of cheese that you get in the supermarket, where you get any 5 for a set price. I eat those a lot.

That's all I can think of for now...!

gluten-free cracker bread only has 5 grams per cracker, they're really good if you need something crunchy
