--------------------------------------------------------------------------------I posted this in general lo-carb too, sorry for the double post.....

:help: Hi! I wasn't sure where to post this, but hopefully someone here can help. For lunch today I bought mashed cauliflower from the Whole Foods store (delicious by the way) and I was wondering the nutritional info.

The Ingrediants are:
Cauliflower
E.V. Olive Oil
Garlic
Parsley
Salt
White Pepper
Paprika

I went to Fitday.com, but they don't calculate cauliflower by the oz. and I didn't want to use the standard cup measurement, because I'm sure mashed in a cup is a lot more that loose florets in a cup.

By the way I ate 9oz. of it. Thanks for any help you all can give me!!

I looked at Whole Foods website (http://www.wholefoods.com), but don't see it listed there. You might want to click on the "contact us" button and drop them a note. They should be able to provide that information for you.

Thnaks! I e-mailed them, now hopefully they'll get back to me soon. I guess for today, I'll just count that as all of my carbs. for the day.

Hi - Fitday does 9 oz of creamed cauliflower as 9 carbs - 1 cup is 8 carbs (both of those are net carbs) but 9 oz of cooked cauliflower is 3 net carbs. I think that the creamed probably has other stuff in it so you are probably okay with going with 9 oz of cooked cauliflower. Hopefully you will hear back from Whole foods soon.

Thanks for your help, and while I did hear back from Whole Foods, they didn't have the info yet, but they did send me a reply that may be helpful to others who shop there:

Thank you for your interest in Whole Foods Market. Labeling all of our prepared foods with nutritional information is one of our ultimate goals. However, as there are hundreds of recipes in each of our eight regional cookbooks, this task will take some time to complete.

In the meantime, if there are any specific dishes you are interested in, please contact your local Prepared Foods Coordinator for a reply. For future reference nutritional information on many of our bakery items are available at the bakery. A Bakery Team Member can show them to you and make photocopies of the information if you would like.
