Just got my bloodwork back, doc said everything is good. But now I'm wondering.
Total Cholesterol is 171
Triglycerides 67
HDL 48
VLDL 13
LDL 110 I'm thinking the LDL is the bad one. It should be between 0-99.
Maybe because my over all is withing normal range the doc is not worrying about it?
Any ideas?

It's the ratio of the two that really matters.
LDL / HDL: (in your case, you score a 2.X):
1/2 avg risk for men is 1.0, for women 1.5
avg risk for men is 3.6, women 3.2
2x avg risk for men 6.3, 5.0 for women
3x avg risk for men is 8.0, for women 6.1
So you're still lower than average risk for heart trouble.

My paperwork says my
LDL/HDL Ration is 2.3 so that is avg risk.
That is why the LDL being high is ok? Is there anything specific I can do to get that down? Or is it not to be worried about?
Oh by the way I'm 35 years old, don't know if that makes a difference or not.
Thanks

In fact, the LDL number also includes the VLDL (& other molecules) which scientists are finding is a GOOD thing to have in the high range. My own doc told me not to worry when my LDL looked higher than the "desirable" range because my ratio was fantastic - just like yours.
If you have problems remembering which is good, try this:
HappyDL = good :) :agree:
LousyDL = bad.
