Hello there everyone...I just joined today..but I have been reading alot on this messgae board for a long time. Anyway I wonder if anyone can help me out. I recently read a thread on how oregano oil helps a stall. Also I read it was good for yeast and for skin problems..So I tried it and I have been oh so sick forthe last 2 days. I wonder if anyone else on here has tried it and had terrible stomach pain. I have had stabbing pains on and off for the last 2 days and alot of nausea also. My mom and friend tried the oregano and had no problem. Is it because I have alot of yeast or parasites in me. Or could this be a bad reaction to the oil. Im trying to decide whether to go off it or not. It has helped my friends skin so much that I wanted the same results also. PLease help if you know anything about this topic. Thanks uggyj

My daughter had that reaction. It's killing the bad stuff inside you. Oregano Oil doesn't only kill yeast but other bacteria, parasites, fungi and a lot of viruses as well, including STDs. Taking oregano oil can initially result in flu like symptoms from very mild to very severe for 2-4 days.
Drink lots of water to help flush the remains of the bad stuff out. You can also reduce your dose to alleviate symptoms, i.e., if you're taking it twice a day, go down to once a day.

Should you be trying to replace the good bacteria ie yogurt while you are taking OoO?

No, OOO is discriminatory, unlike antibiotics.

I have been using oregamax, which is oregano and onion in a capsule, I have been using a couple other things too, and taking acidophilus, I too having been at time experiencing pains in my abdomen, I am chalking it up to the yeast dying off, at least that is what I hope it is.
