Hello all, I'm still trying to find my way around here, and I've been trying to get my photo beside my name. I found where to do it, but each time I try, it says there are too many (I think this is the right term) megapixels. I used a digital camera, put it in my Kodak file, and tried to get it from there. Did anybody else use a digital? I'm soooo confused :confused: !!!

You have to resize your picture to a smaller size I think the limit for an avatar is 100by100 or 19.5KB...here is a link where you can resize it for free http://www.myimager.com/#

once you post like 25 posts you can start your gallery and post larger pics.....Big John

Well, I just gave it a shot, but it said that the dumb file size is 926 KB, so that's way too big. I'm not very technical, so I'm not sure how to resize it to smaller... guess I'll just keep posting till I hit 25, then hopefully I can get it on there. I sure do appreciate your help!!

Hi. :wave: Use the image editing software that should have come with your camera to crop and/or shrink the image down to size. :thup:

Kristine, Thanks so much!! I'm not too handy with that dumb digital camera yet, so I didn't even know how to do that!! I'm gaining, I got the picture to come up in my profile. I sure do appreciate you & BoogieBlue's help today!! Have a wonderful day!! :)

when you use a resizing program most will state the original size of your pic...something like 1200x960...than will ask what size you want to change it to....for your avatar put in 98x98 that way its sure to fit when it is resized to 98x98 use that for your avatar....Hope that helps you....Big John
