To get good results you should do a weight training workout followed by some type of cardio.

Hey folks,
My best advice to you is to swing by the exercise forum. There's lots of great info there from people who have exercise as an integral part of their (our) lives. Really, any form of physicall activity works initially, especially if you do what you like. There are some guidelines that are followed to facilitate fat loss. Some check it out:

Hope this helps :)
Have a good one,

Hi there!
I agree with using a combination of weight training and cardio.

I've been reading quite a lot in the exercise section of this forum recently. I use to do weight training one day and cardio the next, but it looks like a lot of people do both on the same day. Weight training followed by cardio seems to be the best way to go.
Try to pick something that you like for your cardio workout. You're more apt to stick with it. I like to ride a bike along our beautiful trails. It's easier on the joints than jogging. Just my humble opinion. I hope to buy an eliptical machine or a treadmill when the winter months make it too difficult to venture outside.
