I just came back from a weekend retreat. Where I did pretty good low carbing. I took snacks, like cheese ball and celery and other stuff that was legal. The other low carbing ladies were excited to see snacks we could feel good about eating. I had planned to take a short break and eat the cafeteria food and even a piece of BD cake. But did not splurge too much.
Came home Saturday and went right back to low carbing. Did good until tonight at a friends house, had pie and cobbler. Came home feeling sick at by stomach. Too sweet.
I am down because I became so weak when I had been strong and now i have to start over getting back to ketosis.

Been there, done that. But I look at it as a learning experience, I no longer look at a piece of Chocolate cake thinking "I love cake but am not allowed to have it", after having a small piece at a friends place a couple of weeks ago, I remember how yuck it tasted, way too sweet. It actually feels good to say I don't like cake now.
Just put your experience behind you and learn from your mistake, don't beat :bash: yourself up about it.

Yes, don't think of a momentary lapse as "blowing it". You just had a little setback is all. Sometimes we have to take a step back before we make two steps forward. Cheryl is right! Use it as a learning experience. Some of us need to do that to really be convinced that we shouldn't eat the sugar anymore. Talk about aversion therapy!
So don't worry about it, pick yourself right back up and move forward...and remember how icky sugar made you feel just in case of future temptation.
Wishing you the best of luck!
