I came on here when I first started sbd and I found lots of amazing advice that really helped me get through the first two weeks where I ended up losing 10 lbs. So I thought that I would list a few things that got me through to maybe help someone else out who is just starting sbd.
1) I have a sweet tooth that is unbelievable and had a hard time satisfying it. Along with the fudsicles that everyone says was their lifesaver I also found that cottage cheese with some splenda, cinnamon, and pecans really satisfied my sweet tooth. I also felt less guilty eating that for who knows why. ;)
2) Non-fat processed cheese is fairly disgusting and processed cheese shouldn't be eaten in this diet anyways in my opinion.
3) Turkey pastrami was a life saver for me. I love really flavorful meats and a slice of this always hit the spot when I needed a snack.
4) Sorbee sugar-free candies are disgusting but WinCo has some great sugar free candy that comes in bulk and the nutrition facts are listed so there is no guessing.
5) Finally, I know everyone says this but it really does get easier. It's hard to believe during those first two weeks but it's true. I get full a lot easier now and the cravings are pretty much gone. Of course, your favorite food still sounds good but it is no longer worth it to indulge in it.
Well good luck all you newbies and hope some of this advice proves to be helpful. :) Once I reach my goal weight maybe I will have some more tips for Phase 2!
