I am confused by the online GI list for the SB diet.It says to avoid high glycemic foods which is rice cakes are yet,in green with astericks,it says that these foods, although high glycemic, are healthy and low calorie and should not be avoided or limited. So what is what?

From reading several plans including SB one thing seems to run through all plans, eat foods for what they contain, not what they are missing. Yes rice cakes are low carb, but what nutrients or value do they have? It seems like they would fall into the empty calories catagory even if low cal, plus raise blood sugars. *shrug*

GI is a limited tool - some foods are so low cal, that it doesn't matter what the GI is.
