Hi there!
Looking good all over here ....I am in a generous mood this morning, so I bequeath the following ( or at the very least notice this about you!) :)
To Acipenser- I hereby give you a new frame of mind - Ie: COURAGE of the lion from the WIz of oz
TO BAWDY - I hereby allocate the RUBY SLIPPERS - Get dancing and let us know where you decide to vacation! Might have to cut the toes out and make them sandal style to show off the toesies.
SONG - Toto's bouncy step!
Shrubie - The munchkin's energy!
Wendy - The common sense to know what's working and what isnt and not to stick with something that isnt.. or has stopped working.. and the fortitude to delve and think about what is her next step!
Lissette - The gift of multi tasking like Farmhand/Tin Woodsman/Knight of the Garter (as Oliver N. Hardy)
Orang - Aunty Em's gift of being there even when she isn't..the true gift of being a mom...:)
EWINPA - The ability to REBOUND and come out from the curtain like the WIZ himself...
UNITY - the abililty to pop in and pull things out of her basket from time to time, like the Phantom of the basket :)
Danakins - fun and encouraging..kind of like the Toymaker! Keep us all youthful!
And to all the rest, due to time running short now... I sprinkle faery dust all over you and give you all 3 wishes....
What are they? ( serious ones, and or light hearted ones..they are after all.. YOUR wishes! )
So I guess that makes me today: Glinda the good witch's who has faith in herself and those around her.

Happy Saturday!
Dawn-That was the cutest post ever! It was very thoughtful of you and exactly what I needed to hear today.
I've been quite frustrated the last couple of days. This week I've eaten "perfectly." By that, I mean that I ate the way I did in the past which always rewarded me with a loss. Yesterday I was at 148.5, which really upset me, b/c that's where I was while doing CAD. The weirdest thing was that I physically felt smaller, and so I kept telling myself if I would continue to be good, eventually I would be rewarded. It happened this morning. I was actually teetering on returning to CAD until I stepped on the scale. I was down 1.5 lbs from yesterday to 147.0, which is the lowest I have seen in 3 months!!!! Not only that, but I did have a bigger dinner last night at Outback, a 9 oz sirloin, mushrooms, veggies and salad w/ lotsa blue cheese dressing. I guess the lesson here is that I have to be patient and stick to what I have found works, even if I don't see results right away. I think I can also learn that having a slightly higher calorie day may not be the end of the world and can actually shake things up a bit. I've been SOOOO ravenous the last couple days, but that was probably just my body's way of holding on to that fat for dear life. I just remembered that many people describe intense hunger right before a whoosh. The trick is sticking it through and not giving in.
Today is going to be a great day. It's my mom's birthday and my family and DBF are going to go see the Notebook and then pack a picnic and listen to a picnic with the pops tonight (they are playing songs by the Beatles, my mom's favorite). The good thing is that the weather is supposed to be beautiful, unlike Thursday night when I was at a Dave Matthews concert in the thunderstorm of the century. Talk about miserable:(
Hope you all have a wonderful, on-plan day!!!

Dawn, thanks for thinking of me. I could use the energy. I worked until just after midnight, then had to battle the traffic coming home. Summerfest is going for the next two weeks so everyone is out drinking and listening to music until midnight. I am dragging today and with a headache to boot.
If I can figure a way to bottle the kids energy I will and sell it on Ebay, of course I will have some free samples for friends!!!
Wendy congrats on sticking with it. I guess it goes to show a watched pot never boils ( watched scale never drops)??? You are my model right now. I need to get back to clean eating again. I found the 7 day cheat free challenge. I think I will be joining in this week. I will keep everyone posted.
It is a beautiful day, not sure what we will do. I have some laundry piles to deal with first.

Glad it's nice where you are, Shrubie, because it's miserable here. Rainy and chilly. Supposed to hit 72 today, but I doubt it. Tomorrow, though, promises to be sunny and 76. Will cut the lawn and generally laze in the sun.
I'm beginning to like my haircolor a bit better. Yesterday when I was shopping and bought a suit, I complimented the cashier on her hair cut and color (it really was perfect for her). She in turn said she LOVED the color of my hair. I told her I just had it done, and wasn't sure I liked the color. She was shocked. She had no idea it wasn't my natural color. She said she's a hairdresser in her "real life," and can usually spot a "dye job" a mile away. I guess that's good.
So, Dawn. Where does Dorothy buy her ruby slippers? Cause she sure didn't buy them in Maine. There are two stores to buy shoes at, Filene's and Macy's. And they don't have much. I was thinking about driving down to one of the larger malls in New Hampshire or Mass. today, but just can't psyche myself up to a 6-hour round trip. A girlfriend of mine said she'd go with me soon. That makes for a much more enjoyable drive anyway.
And the vacation? Now I'm thinking not. I'm so wishy-washy. Maybe just down to Boston for an overnight. I think there's a van service down to Boston that leaves every day from Portland. Maybe do that, have a nice day of shopping, splurge on a fancy dinner, and go home the next day. That sounds more like it.
Wendy, good for you for sticking it out. I do think we tend to over-analyze at times and expect that just because we've been "good" for X number of days, it should be reflected in the number on the scale. It would be nice if the human body reacted in predictable ways, but it just ain't the case.
Last Saturday I bought a 6-pack of microwave popcorn. I'd had a slight craving, and thought, why not? Eating popcorn for the past 5 days straight is "why not." There's one bag left. I should just throw it away, but I'll probably end up scarfing that down, too. And Wendy's spicy chicken combo one day this week. If the body reacted predictably, I should be up 5 or 6 pounds by now. Nope, holding steady at 154.
I'm really feeling logey from all the carbs, though, so I'll be reining it way in. Might make some flaxseed muffins today. I'm getting a little tired of shakes for breakfast, and eggs are not appealing to me at all lately. I've been having a lot of LC toast and peanut butter, but am getting tired of that, too. The muffins sound pretty good to me. Maybe I'll use banana extract so they taste a little like banana nut bread.
Catch you all later!

Good Morning Everyone!
It was nice to sleep in today. I've been getting up every morning at 6am to walk, but I've decided that Saturday morning I get to sleep in, and Sunday's I have to get up at 7am to get everyone ready for church.
I love my scale! I'm down another 2 pounds! Whew, I love this WOL!
Bawdy - I have a pair of ruby slippers that were Sloan's, LOL. You could just paint some red and put lots of red glitter on them! LOL It sounds like you're doing well. Your body must like your new weight set, that's why it's stickin there.
Dawn - I loved your post! To cute! Thanks for the bouncy step! That's the way I feel today. I've got on a pair of jeans that my dh said make me look skinny. He's been gone all week. He asked me this morning where my butt is! I love that man!
I'll just be bouncin through the day here!

wendy-- how did you like the notebook? i want to see around the world in 80 days, the jackie chan one. i am also glad to see a fellow dave matthews fan. i got invided to see them labor day weekend at the george in washington. i am not sure if i want to go or not because the peoson who invited me is also taking her best friend who i am not sure i can take for that long a period, i don't know her very well and an not sure i am ready to risk it for a long weekend (we will be camping out)
bawdy-- i just talked to my grandmother today who is vacationing in the cabin this week. she told me it is pretty cold there and they had to build a fire (the cabin has no insulation or heat except for the fireplace.) she came up for a combination vacation and my cousin graduated from high school. i am still upset i will not be taking my vacation up ther this year. boston sound good. i always liked quincy market.

"40 first dates"or something like that.
have a good night.
