Makes 6 large or 12 small, 51.8g total for whole recipe.

Ingredients:
3/8 cup oatflour
1/4 cup ground almonds
3/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masalla
1/2 tsp coriander
1 medium egg, beaten
1/2 cup water
2 medium onions, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
oil for shallow frying.

1. Sift flours, baking soda and spices into a bowl.
2. Make a well, and add the combined egg and water, Mix well until it's a smooth batter. (Add the garam masalla at this point if it's been bought in the form of a paste.)
3. Add the onions and garlic and mix well.
4. Heat the oil in a large, flat bottomed frying pan.
5. Drop tablespoons of the mixture into the pan and flatten into patties.
6. Fry on both sides until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper.

Enjoy!!!!!

I tried these tonight. I used gluten flour instead of oat flour, and I didn't have any coriander so I used some fairly mild curry powder. They were excellent! I just wish I could duplicate the ones I get at the Indian restaurant down the street. Those are heavenly. They're one of the few things I consider worth cheating for.

Ohhhh, do they taste kind of like onion rings? *drool* I may have to try this. I wonder if it would work with low carb bake mix in place of the flour. I don't have oat and I really don't want to use soy.
