I was wondering how to detect it again without the strips.. Is it when your urine turns highlighter yellow? I cant find it in the book for some reason again but i thought thats what it says. I cant smell anything different in my breath or my urine so unsure... And where do you all buy your strips?

I always knew I was in ketosis when I got a weird taste in my mouth... otherwise known as Ketosis Breath! Your urine may have a different odor as well, but you say you detect neither of these. If your urine is 'highlighter yellow' that's probably from your vitamins.

You can get ketone strips at any pharmacy... look in the diabetes section.

I have never gotten the breath, but a funny thing did happen on Saturday....sorry if this is TMI... I was taking a tinkle and thought to myself, hey, I dont have a cat, what is that smell.....LOL......Anyway...It has taken me like 2 weeks, but it's finally here...KETISOS

I never noticed any symptoms and the sticks were the only real indicator. My urine turned a very deep clear - but that tends to happen when you are downing upwards of two gallons of water a day.

If you can't find the sticks on the shelf, ask the pharmacist. They have a tendency to walk away and so many places keep them behind the counter.
