Hi i am into my first week of OWL and all has been going well untill this morning when i weighed in. so far ive been very strict to keep below 20g and had lost 7.48lb! which am happy with still my goal on OWL is much the same at 20g!
Todays weghing had me put on 2.2lb in 2 days??? how can this be???? this has put all sort of dout in my mind about giving up. the only thing i can think that could of been is sunday night i had a few drinks with some mates it was spirits with diet caffine free coke! which was told is 0g? anyway could this incurrage water retention which could explain the weight put on? in which case proves that all you are losing in the first couple of weeks is water!
anyhelp apprecieated

Don't worry about it! I put on weight and it melts off in a day or two! So, don't worry to much! I've had it happen many times!

Too bad you aren't a girl, you could blame it on TOM.
Maybe the spirits you added were a little carby and you didn't know. I think that during this week it will melt off like Erinleigh said. Just be patient! As strict as you are it will take no time!!!

It may also be water retention from eating too much salt. I find I can yo-yo 2-3 lbs easily and I can often track it back to a salt binge of some sort.

Ditto. I would say you have gained water weight. I'm sure it will come right off.

First off, great going on the 7-1/2 pounds!! Yes, I'll cast my vote here on water weight. I weigh daily because it's how I like to do, and chart it in FitDay. My weight chart looks like a stock market graph. ;) A few days ago I was up to 209, today I'm at a new low of 205. And that particular 209 was nothing but water weight.
Also, don't be surprised if you see your weight loss slow or even stop this week while your body makes adjustments to the changes it went through during Induction. This is perfectly normal, and generally speaking results in inches lost during the third and possibly into the fourth week instead of pounds. Just be sure to hang in there, because those scales will start moving in a downward direction again. :)

Hey, this is great I thought I was fdoing something wrong. I lost (we do kg) about 2.5 or (6lbs or so) in my first 5 days and I have hardly budged since. I am exercising 1hr a day and I have a fat monitor to know if I am loosing fat or muscle. At this stage while the "happy stick" is turning pink (not purple) I am stable. I thought the first 2 weeks were all loss loss loss....is it me?

Thanks for your help, as for those pink sticks i used them a couple of years ago and they didnt really work that well, this time i know im in K because of the no hunger and in creased energy, i feel a bit better having red your replys and also weigh in daily, so it can be dissapointing when you gain 1kg in a day!
anyway thanks again
