thanks everyone for the SB info. It's actually not too much to have two separate programs in the house - being as how I've been doing CAD for awhile. During the week, we have separate breakfasts and lunches, which leaves dinners during the week, and weekends to cope with.
If we both are on a whole-foods, refined grain/sugar restricted diet, it would make weekends so much easier!
With summer here, I'm really having a good time with salads, including a three-bean salad for the RM. It seems that my appetite just dries up. green salad plus 3-bean salad, plus something from the grill, possible some (limited) fresh fruit for dessert - that is plenty for both of us.
And I've been having sparkly water (plain) over ice, w/ a twist of lemon or lime, for my evening drink, instead of wine or beer. The fizziness makes it special. I even made some herbal tea (very strong) and used it as a "flavoring/coloring" stuff.
We are going out tonight, to a cuban place - I'm thinking a large salad might be my best bet.
