I just found this although it was presented in '96. It's a seminar from a physician to other physicians but is very readable and very compelling.
It's a pdf file so I hope the link works.

Also http://www.rosedalemetabolics.com/speech99.asp
It's really worth the read
Too long to put in the thread.
I'm interested in comments about these seminars

"if you treat a symptom you are going to make the disease worse. The symptom is there as your body's attempt to heal itself. "

YES!!!!! That is exactly the problem!

Very good article.

I have been looking forward Rosedale's book (to be published soon). I just hope he employs an editor!

Cheers,

A very good article. Well worth reading and saving for the library. Scary that the saturated fat from grain-fed animals is as bad as it is. Mercola has been saying this all along, but I can't afford his lifestyle. I am going to have to start a sheep farm in my backyard.

How do we get animals fat quickly? (Answer) a Grain-fed diet. We know we can make them fat very quickly by feeding them carbohydrates. We haven't figured that out for ourselves yet. So what do we do then? Now, the fat that is manufactured in these animals is a very saturated fat; it's a very poisonous, toxic fat. We eat these animal products then, and this is why the fat they we eat is toxic to us. It is because most of the fat that we are eating is a byproduct of carbohydrate metabolism. Fat in itself is not bad; I really want to hammer that home. Fat is not toxic; the fat that we eat in this country is toxic, for the most part. It is artificially manufactured.

Well I don't know about sheep, but I plan on moving soon...and one of my requirements as to where I move to is that I'll be able to keep a few chickens and other "livestock". Fresh eggs! yumm!!

I feed my dogs raw meat, and I just might raise a few critters for them....don't know if I could eat an animal I knew personally.

Yea Cindy, I think I could have problems with that too. I find that as I get older, I have more respect for all living things (except some humans). If I had the opportunity to change things, I would make carbs the health food and meat the opposite. However, that is not likely to happen soon.
