Looks like I'm starting the thread again today. It was supposed to rain today, but looks like it will be nice after all. Started out cloudy, but now the sky is a brilliant blue with no clouds.

Well, yesterday I spent between 4 and 5 hours in the sun with no sunscreen, but did use the Brown Sugar accelerator. This morning I'm slightly pink on my shoulders, and I think I did get a little tan. It's just so weird that I don't burn or tan anymore unless I'm out for hours and hours. I guess I should count myself lucky.

Talk about luck. One of my new kittens, Pippin (just like the character in the book/movie -- always getting into trouble), discovered that a hornet was building a nest on the outside of the screened-in porch. He had a single-minded determination to get it. Twice I caught him suspended on the screen about 6 feet off the ground, ready to take a swipe at the nest (with the hornet right there working away). The third time I grabbed him just as he swatted at the nest, bringing it down on top of us. Luckily, there was only one hornet, and it didn't attack. Pippin nonchalantly picked up her prize and carried it off. Phew! That was close!

Hi guys! Weight is 147.5 today. I have been doing fairly good with my eating choices, especially since it is the end of the school year. It seems that there is just so much temptation with end of the year parties and such. Why does everything have to involve food?? So, I am down to two more days with the kiddies, and then my vacation begins. Actually, I will be quite busy this summer. I don't have off a full week until August, but it is a good thing b/c then I would be utterly bored all the time. I am looking forward to passing along this current group of students and then starting fresh again in the fall.

Bawdy-That's incredible that you were out for that long and barely got any color. If I go out for 10 mins, I turn bright pink:( I enjoyed your story about Pippen. What an adorable name, but definitely sounds like a troublemaker!

Hello to everyone else. I hope you have a wonder Sunday!

Bawdy - animals can sure be entertaining! I'm glad you didn't get stung!

We got out the kids pool last night and of course it had holes in it. It seems this happens every year. So, we went down to Wal*Mart and bought a new one. This one is bigger than last years. I think it's about 10'x5'. It will be fun to cool off in with the kids this summer. We put a screen tent over it to keep the sun off of the kids. We use to put it on the patio, but it's full of patio furniture now. This will be so much nicer this summer to have a nice yard to look at while I watch the kids in the pool.

The 2 dresses I ordered from Chadwick's came in the mail yesterday. Ooo, they are so pretty. One is fuscia and the other is black. I ordered them in a size 18, so they won't fit yet. They sure look skinny, I'm use to looking at 24's and 26's.

Hey all Happy Sunday to you!!

We have had a busy day today, we just branded our 5 new bulls and vaccinated them, It went so good today, they were gentle and did not fight each other! :)
One year after we turned one loose he circled around and made a bee-line for us, we had to jump in the back of the pickup and STAY there for awhile until my dh could sneak around to get on the 4wheeler! Needless to say we did NOT keep him around! Certain genetic traits do get bred into the herd and we like our stuff gentle!!!

Then we did my FAVORITE job and pitched the dirty yuck stuff out of the sheds!! I just kept saying it is good exercise!!!! :D

My calories are still WAY to high I have got to start getting some menu ideas and change some things, I am like you Elaine, I am hungry consistantly!! This morning instead of just egg whites I did add a whole egg to see if it would hold me, it has alittle better, but I am ALWAYS wanting to eat!!!

Bawdy, What a story! You are very lucky that it was not a whole nest of them!!! That is cats for you! (Ya got to love em!!!) I have 4 new kitties running around now and just enjoy how silly and entertaining they are! Don't get me wrong I love dogs to, but I have had more pets that I was closer to in the feline persuasion!
As fair completed as you look I am surprised that you do not burn, IF I work at it I can get as dark as some of the natives around here, But if not I will burn to a crisp!! In fact I have not tanned in 11 1/2 years I wear long sleeves and a hat, along with gloves and (being such a vampire), I ALWAYS weare my shades!!! (my blue eyes are sensistive to the sun!)

Wendy, Good to here that your summer is officially started!(WEll this week anyway!) :) It looks like you are holding steady with your weight- which I find is a BIG accomplishment! And you are so right, Food is centered around SO much, when we visit our relatives in the city it is always "Well we know you do not get out much so where do you want to eat???" It does make it hard!!! How are things with the DBF going???? :D

Song, I swear they just make those swimming pools with an expiration date!! I can never get one to last more then a summer too!
Your dresses from Chadwicks sound pretty, Chadwicks have a nice selection of elegant dresses!! (I do not wear many since my line of work just calls for jeans, sweats, and teeshirts!) Our church is more informal also, we wear dress pants or nice jeans!!

Well I need to go and finish making lunch!

A BIG HI TO ALL!!!!! :) :) :) :) :)

hey there,

well, the camping trip was pretty fun. the new (new to us ) trailer worked well. it rained the whole weekend though, except for a couple of hours sat night. we did manage to get in a bike ride, a hike, a couple of hours of fishing (no catching though) and a campfire with smores (yes i ate 2).

now i need to pack to head out of town tomorrow for work. i am actually thinking of doing some laundry and re-packing the trailer for next weekend (we are heading to the coast for a 2-night camp trip with a friend couple of ours, it is my and her birthday on the 11th and 12th so we decided to drag the boys camping with us...)

whoever was asking about eating 2 breakfasts. i leave for work at 6am. i don't get up early enough to fix anything so i usually drink a big coffee and then eat breakfast when i get to work, or a couple of hours after i get to work. (usually between 8-9). for me the coffee does a good job of holding off the hunger till then.

hi to everybody. no internet where i am going, so i will see ya'll when i get back!!!

Rest day for me from exercise, sometimes my rest day changes depending how I feel but I always make sure I rest one day a week. Started taking "Supreme Greens" yesterday, if fulfills my vegetables intake and helps flush out the acidity in my body. No pain or swelling! Whoo-ooh! :exclm: I'm taking it everyday, possibly forever. I think I might have lost a lb. Will weigh-in tomorrow for the "TDC" & June challenges. 1/2 more day to weigh-in! I'm happy for you ladies had a good day. :cheer:
