Good morning everyone. It is a beautiful day! The sun is out and the day is forecasted to be nice all day.
The best part is today is my afternoon without anyone. I have my three precious hours to do what I want for myself. It has been awhile since I have been able to do so, I have been covering for other people so my time was not my own.
Bawdy, I am with you. My comfort food when all hell breaks lose is breads. I use to eat a whole 9 inch of Jiffy Baking mix coffeecake. Things will get better. As for movies by myself, I do rent them for myself but never the movie theatre. It is a thought for my Thursday afternoons. I saw a preview for the movie The Notebook. Looks good, chick flick
Dana we dream to of putting on an all seasons room of the back of the house and a jaccuzi. It sure is fun to dream :D
My good news is I am down two pounds from last week. I am really excited because I had put on several more over the weekend so to be down is really
a battle for me.
I was wondering is the margarita power as good as the premixed?
Have a good day, I stop by later...... Therese

Hi! Good going on the 2 pounds. Everyone seems to be hitting their stride lately.
Dana, where in the world did you find that Bawdy Wench glass? Was that a Photo Shop creation, or is there really such a thing? If there is, I might just have to get one!
Still not convinced on the solo movie experience. I definitely wouldn't see a chick flick if it was in any way sad. I cry like a baby at sad scenes. Except for Titanic. I snuck an entire box of kleenex into the theater for that one, and didn't shed a single tear. That was the most over-rated movie ever!
Michele, 196.5?!?!?!? I've got my fingers crossed for you!

Just a hit and run hello! (I am STILL all tuckered out from the beach party!) :p
Actually we are back in high gear with round 2 of farming-planting kane, AND we are getting the equipment ready for what is in the fields to hay! My sis and family are coming the 12th, so I have to get the house "company ready" :D I usually keep a tidy house mind you but there IS a difference!!!
Bawdy, if you go see a movie solo just go to a good comedy!! I wouldn't mind going by myself, but Just to far away to venture out!
A BIG HELLO to everyone else here! HAVE A GOOD ONE!!!!!!!! :)
OH and WTG on our gals that are feeling lighter today!!! :D :D :D :D

Michelle--the little engine that could..4 more to go!!
Bawdy--You know.. I think it was the different foods I allowed myself to eat for the last 2 weeks with camping and all.. We were there 11 nights 12 days.. so nearly 2 weeks.. I allowed myself the occasional hamburger roll, serving of chips, things like that, so my carbs were definitely up, but again, I didnt go hog wild and just eat everything in sight, which is an accomplishment being outdoors, I tend to get the munchies... so.. you can add me to your theory of changing your menu up for a cple of weeks to shock the system, then retreat back to the WOE that melts the weight.
Cause the month of May was a stand still for me...as far as the beg. weight and end weight.. get sea sick looking at my fitday chart! I am glad I rode the storm out, and kept focused..
Keeping my eyes on the prize(s) whatever they may be... remember I have my TATTOO Reward coming up once I land my bootie in ONE-DUH-Land!
I love rewards..LOL.. I am a kid at heart.... Think thats why I like the new Curves Bucks.. love getting the PURPLE ( my fav color-no really, I mean it, I know you probably don't believe me, or had a CLUE, but really it is!) money .. to trade in for real stuff.. I am up to 18.00 curves bucks this week alone.. pretty durn good, eh?
Also.. going to do free 15 minute mini massages 1 morning and one afternoon there next week...and then the following week probably at the other location that is owned by the same owner.
I am praying about another office that I went to look at.. You guys I REALLY WANT THIS SPACE!!!! It is a stretch of the imagination to even think that this is a place that I could do..I figured it to be about 300.00 more than my top price that I could afford... but I just said.. ok to them..it will be avail aug 1st approx for me to move in..
So, I prayed, and said, ok God..you are gonna have to do miracles for me.. lol. I didnt see a RED flag on this one, like the Doggie kennel escapade.. ha ha.. and I was like, doh Dawn.. you are starting to teach this sunday.. what do you get paid? UM.. hello.. had to call the head of the department..and said sheepishly to him.. um... WHAT do I get paid to teach? LOL! Ever take a job and NOT know what you get paid? LMAO.... Im a dunce. I was pleasantly surprised, its not as much as I make massaging, but its a good portion, and that MORE than makes up the overage on the rental price...
GET OUT! YEP. Cool huh? :)
Orang-miss you doll..you doing ok out there?
Lissette-I noticed in NC the other day, when sis and I went up to Cherokee for some casino'ing..lol. I spent $35.00 and whittled away 3 hours of playing the nickle machines.. last of the big gamers I am! --but noticed the corn was about knee high out in the fields, in NY my homestate, we used to say that it had to be "knee high by July' to be ready in time.. I love sweet corn.. butter and honey version is the yummiest.. Do you grow other things besides kane?
Shrubie-WTG on the lossage!!! :) Enjoy that FREE Time!!!
Ok.. I have an hour.. WHERE THE HECK does *MY* Time go?? I have to change out of sweaty clothes.. and head back over to the office.
Love and Laughter,
Dawn

Hi Everyone!
Dawn - good luck on the office space. I hope it works out for you.
Bawdy - I've gone to the movies by myself too. I like to go in the afternoon. I haven't tried it in the evening. I also like to rent several movies then spend the afternoon watching them. It kind of plugs you into something so you don't think about what's buggin you. I also like to do a lot of reading when I'm going through a hard time. -- About the walking - I walked 3 miles last time I lost weight, I worked out from the beginning of my diet, aerobics, walking, then I ran 3 miles everyday and did aerobics and weights on the off days. I ended up weighing 165 and I wore a size 10. I'm 5'5 1/2", and that was the first time in my life I remember wearing a 10. I had a lot of muscle too. I'm hoping to be able to run again, but not yet. I need to get a lot more weight of so I don't damage anything.
My dh has been doing some plumbing over at my parents new house they bought. I'm thinking about bringing over some cleaning products and give the kitchen and bathrooms a good going over.
You wouldn't believe what I experienced the other night, it was a first for me! I was eating dinner, salad, broccoli and pork roast, about half way through I felt like I wanted to be done eating, didn't care about eating and wished I was full already. I've always been so interested in food, I can't believe that now I eat and not care what it is! Very strange for me!

I just discovered a great way to avoid eating all the high-carb junk: SHEER LAZINESS!
I've been craving a (small) Supreme Pan Pizza from Pizza Hut all day long. Did I indulge? NO! Why? LAZINESS! I'm too flippin' lazy to drive all the way into town to get it. And no, no one around here delivers (probably a good thing).
So what did I have instead? A handful of walnuts and a large glass of Kool-Aid (made with Splenda). Yum.
------
Another note on the movies. I think I'll just stay home and rent movies. The theater here, though, is super cheap. It's $3.50 admission for everyone, all the time. That ain't bad! Also, I've never gone when it's been crowded. Even on opening weekend of a big blockbuster, there have never been more than maybe 40 people in the theater. There are advantages to living in a small town!

LOL at steakum cheating... ha haa.. u caught me RED handed.. ROFL..get it...red.. meat..red handed.. ::: snorts :::::::::
I need to give up my day job, become a comedienne! LMAO...
Sometimes we 'treat' ourselves to the dollar theater we have here... they are movies that have left the main theater, and are just about to be on video or are already released on video.. can still get the 'theater' effect..for 1 buck! :)

Hey everyone!
It looks like everyone is doing well with exercise and eating. Bawdy, you keep having fun. I'm doing good! I'm back to exercising, trying to eat more, upping my calories. I haven't been eating enough calories because I've been so busy cleaning, cleaning, exercising, cleaning, some shopping. I'm not obsessive-compulsive about cleaning. I'm doing it because I like my house to smell clean when my niece comes back home. She has very bad allergies.
I'm going to try drinking one protein shake a day, because sometimes I don't like to eat 3 meals/day. I do eat 2 snacks, strawberries and cottage cheese or celery stalks with creamy peanut butter not chunky. Tomorrow I'm exercising and organizing my closets. I do different variations of sit-ups and Pilates everyday at home. This week I'm doing weightlifting 3 days/wk, next week might be more.
Does anyone think it's unhealthy to eat almost the same thing everyday? I eat healthy foods, restrict carbs, keep fats low, and try to keep the calories up. I read somewhere that you should eat 1800-2200 calories to lose lbs if you're over 225 lbs. Then somewhere else I read you figure your calorie intake minus 500 calories. What do you think? I know I should be eating 1200 calories but sometimes I forget to eat that I end up eating 500-650 calories/day. I'm not trying to starve myself! I forget because I'm so busy and don't want to stop doing what I'm doing.
I guess it's because prior to this week, I was unable to walk or stand for a couple of weeks and I'm afraid it'll happen again.
Keep it up ladies! I will try hard to eat more.
Thanks,
Cindy Q
