:D hey everyone! i work at Panera [www.panera.com]and am proud to announce that we are coming out with a lc plain bagel, a lc asiago cheese bagel, lc plain bread, lc raspberry walnut herb bread, a fruit salad (which should be ok for those in maintenance), and more!!! We also have several lc salads, and some soups are ok for those on maintenance. So far, I've only tried the lc herb bread, and i thought it was pretty good. I have a meeting tonight and we are sampling everything...I will post back later.

That's great. I figured Panera would get on the stick sooner or later. I always go there and get the pick 2 lunch. I get the 1/2 greek salad and the pepperblue steak sandwich and remove the bread. The price is great and everything is so fresh. PLus they have Hellman's mayo packets!

I just watched this on the news today. A Panera representative, said they took their time trying to make these because they truley wanted to preserve the taste that people expect from these options. They looked great, and the carb count on their website looks good too. Kudos to Panera for working hard to get some more options for us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to try the Asiago Cheese Bagel!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I found to be funny is that they gave the carb counts of the salads with the croutons! They should say something like 1g carbs without the croutons lol.

I am curious how many carbs the french onion soup has without the bread and how many vinagrettes they have. I love the one on the Bistro steak salad, but do they have more than one that they use?

Well, i went to my local panera today, ordered a tuna sandwhich on the rosemary walnut bread - from the outside the bread looks great, the slices are thick, the crust is dark brown, and thinck

The taste is a completely different story - the bread is very chewy and doughy, and not flavorful at all . kind of reminds of the first LC bread attempts that hit the market 2-3 years ago

Its funny b/c panera said they didnt rush to market b/.c they wanted to perfect the recipe, but i tell you a $3 loaf of atkins bread tastes better, im quite disapointed

i havent tried the bagel or breadsticks yet, i hope they are better

we always offer the choice to subsitiute, or we are supposed to. even if you want no bread, we are supposed to do it. i personally dislike the rosemary walnut bread and the golden origional bread. I think the herb is the best. The asiago bagel is good, but the plain is bland. i also love all of the salads.

take care everyone
