I'm very concerened about this company it seems they are making
a false claim about their products, they claim to have a Zero Carb Bread,
Bagels and Pizza. They know their lying because that's impossible. I
contacted them and they told me the breads have Wheat Gluten and Corn Starch
Both of these have carbs. They also have Garlic, Onion and several other
ingredients that are high in carbs. They explained this by saying they have
a new process of putting more dietary fiber than carbs. I'm no physcian or
bakery but I know dietary fiber is a carb itself. I put a link below to
their website.

Hi Jon, sounds off to me too. I ran the "zero carb" bagels through the hidden carbs finder, and it came back as 7.17, 7 of which the package claims are fiber...seems strange though...anyone else have a suggestion about this?

This sounds kinda like the same concept as the Dreamfield Pasta. Maybe someone can clarify. Blessings, Karen

I'm afraid that until the FDA comes up with some rules on what a company can claim is low carb and what they can't, we are just going to have to try the products and see how our body handles it.

If I eat a product and stay in ketosis then I add that product to the list of foods I can have. If I eat it and it knocks me out of ketosis then I throw it away and never buy it again.

I know from past experience if a product has a large amount of sugar alcohol in it, like lc candy, that my body can't handle it. It knocks me out of ketosis. When I tried the Dreamfield pasta I was extremely surprised when I ate it and stayed in ketosis.

I also make it a rule not to try more than one new product a week. So my advice is, try it and see how well you can handle it. If it works, great, if not throw it away and never buy it again.

Personally I use Natures Own 100% whole wheat bread. It's not advertised as low carb but after subtracting the fiber it has 7 carbs per slice. I buy it for my family, it's very good bread and a healthy choice for them. I allow myself 2 slices a week.

That website did look yummy, but at the same time makes ya ponder. It would be nice if they had a store you could just walk into to get a closer look.Hmmm, Im going to email them and ask :)

Here's a hidden carb counter. You punch in the numbers off the label of the food you are wondering about and it will tell you how many carbs the food really has.

well for one thing this company was around long before dreamsfields and their product is totally full of fiber unlike dreamsfields fiber coated crap (you can tell i do not appreciate dreamsfields very much!)
otoh, i have never purchased these 0 carb breads because as someone already mentioned, they cost a HELL of a lot! i might as well save half my lifesavings and go for a brand that has 1 or 2 carbs! a few carbs aren't gonna kill me and will pbly be more beneficial in the long run since a small amount of carbs is good for the body!
