Good morning everyone!!! I am feeling in a great mood but scale wise I am not so great. I actually am avoiding it right now.

We had a going away party for one of my very close friends. She has been very supportive of me and may weight lose efforts. It is not that she is moving so far, actually only 2 hours but it is not like a house away. They threw a lobster boil!!! It was a lot of fun and lots of carbs. Of course, I had worked all day before the party and therefore, my control was not at it's best. I must say the 4 glasses of wine didn't help me maintain my control. I tried to start off yesterday better, but DH was cooking lots. I also didn't help because I made Rhubarb dream bars (lots of carbs with sugar and flour). There are still some things I still have not learned after many years of dieting and trying to change my lifestyle. I Should have skipped the Rhubarb but I just had a taste and it is in season for such a limited time in the spring.

So today, I am start off with a good attitude. I am also starting to write things down again. I have been letting myself slide. I had Strawberry crunch parfait, bacon and swiss cheese for breakfast. 11 carbs.

I haven't got back into the exercise on the treadmill. I am thinking of switching over and using my Nordic track. I do have lots to do in the yard hopeful before the rain starts in again today. I am thinking we should build an ark soon! Hey, Lisette how about an exercise challenge?

Hope everyone has a good day. Therese

I went for me walk this morning, 3 miles. I'm a little tired, but I know I'll perk up. I went in and weighed, and it said 290, I had to check a few more times to make sure I read it right! Yay, I'm melting!

The kids and I decided to redo the back yard while my dh is in Tennessee. We put in an arbor, flower beds, and stepping stones. I need to go buy a pond kit and more plants today. I'm kind of shocked that my 16 yr old Jake wants to do all this work! We've used a lot of things we had, we had a huge rock pile with a lot of large flat rocks, so those are the stepping stones, we'll use some of the others around the pond and for the water fall. We'll also make a border around the flower beds. We had some concrete pipes of different sizes, so we stood the 4 feet ones on end, buried them about a foot, filled with rocks and put in plants. There's two of that size, then three smaller ones. We had an old wagon wheel that we used, we're remaking a wishing well, the base is an old whiskey barrel we had in the barn. I've got irises to dig up and put where we want them. When we get all done with the pond and planting we'll use some weed and feed and grass seed. My dh will be so shocked to see all of our work. Before he left I asked him if I could fix up the back yard section by the patio. He said sure, do whatever you want!

My 8 yr old son, Chaucey was playing on the swingset while we were working Sat. afternoon, and he fell off. I knew right away that he had broken something, so we rushed to the ER. Unfortunetely, I was right. He fractured his ulna. They put it in a splint and I need to get him into the orthopedic surgeon today.

Well, lots to do today!

Dawn - have fun with your sister! I should schedule a pedicure for me, that sounds like a nice treat!

Just stopping by to let you know I'm still alive. Things have been a bit hectic, but mostly I've just been playing instead of posting and taking care of my WOE. I'm still basically LC, but haven't been nearly as cheat-free as normal.

Off to do some reading to catch up.

Hi all. I'm totally wiped out right now, just have to keep telling myself it's only 15 more days....I'm currently experimenting with an aspect of CAD. Many people on this WOE find that they actually do better only eating twice per day. The plan allows for a maximum of 3 meals plus one snack. So far, I've done it with 3 meals, but was never really hungry for lunch, and always felt worse after eating lunch. So this weekend I decided to see if I can skip breakfast. I know, I know, it seems soooo counter to everything you hear. Everyone tells you that you will be less hungry if you eat smaller amounts, more frequently. But, I am NOT normal, and normal rules do not apply. I've felt WONDERFUL since cutting out breakfast. Today was the real test, b/c I do nearly all of my teaching before lunch. It was sooo nice to wake up later to get ready, and I actually had more energy than normal teaching and had no difficulty waiting till lunch. I could have waited even longer. And I felt much better after eating lunch. Usually, I am really wanting my Reward meal right after school, but today, it wasn't such an urgent need. I just finished eating, was way more satisfied (eating about the same as I normally do during reward meals), and feel like I can totally wait till tomorrow lunch again. Who would have thought that by eating more, I was messing myself up. I've decided that if I get really hungry later at night, I will allow myself a small snack, like a piece of cheese, but I think I'd rather not. It's so funny, b/c back in high school and college, this is exactly how my body WANTED to eat. I could never eat breakfast, then would eat lunch, and then did well with a large dinner. Well, it just goes to show that we all have different needs, huh? Hope you all have a nice night!

I started South Beach and now follow more of a PP plan.

My biggest gain from the diet is my heart burn / acid reflux is gone. I haven't taken one ant acid in more than a month.

I thought fatty foods were supposed to increase the problem?
