Happy Friday :)
Well, woke up to more rain! We get all our April showers in May and May flowers in June.
Weight is back down the 2 lbs up to 159 again!!!
Have to work all day taking the office apart for the new carpet coming on Monday. Told the boss I was wearing jeans and tennis shoes today, no high heels for this job.
Hope everyone has a wonderful end of the week.
Love, Carrie

i don't really know why i have trouble. i think it is my choices. l love the pepperoni, cheese, nuts, peanut butter, beef jerky, sausage and eggs, stuff like that, which is high in calories and adds up quick.
i would really love suggestions for boat food. almonds and cheese sticks were mentioned before. that is great for snacks, but i am on the water for 8 hours a day. and usually don't get breakfast in before work. (i have trouble eating first thing when i wake up and also have trouble waking up earlier then 15min or so before i have to leave.....) so i need breakfast, lunch, and snacks on the water.
i just looked at the clock, be back later, forgot about a dr appt.

Good Morning Everyone!
I need to stay away from my scale, but it's been so good to me lately! I'm down 2 more pounds! Yay me!
I decided to only walk every other day. The other days I'm going to do some ab work and other toning. I have some magazines that have different workouts in them so I thought I'd pull all of them out of the magazines and put them in a notebook, then I'll circle the ones I want to do, and kind of put together my own workout.
I bought some turkey bacon yesterday, I love bacon, but thought the lower fat would be good. I also found some Keto brand powdered milk. Now I can make some hot chocolate!
Dawn - wow, I didn't know that chinease food had so much salt in it!

Hi everyone :) Had a rough few days as TOM came raging with a vengence. I have had cramps so bad they a shooting down my legs :( Haven't exercised in two day and while being legal I haven't made the best choices. My Dad is coming to visit this weekend.

Acipenser-When I was first looking to cut back a bit on calories (but not go up in carbs), I turned to the 2% cheeses. I LOVE the 2% colby and mozzarella, which have about 33% less calories than regular cheddar. Plus, I turned to Philly light cream cheese, which only has 70 cal per 2 T, and only 1 g carbs. I tried to eat leaner cuts of meat, like salmon, chicken, sirloin steaks, and lean ground beef. Also, I turned to lowfat cottage cheese. Not everything is good lowfat though. Many things go way up in carbs to replace the fat. Also, when eating eggs, rather than having 3 eggs, I will have 2 eggs plus several whites. These are just some tricks I found that really helped. Food still tasted good and I could have the rich foods I liked, but kind of tricked my body in a way. Hope this helps!

HI Gang!
Ohh. sounds busy for you all! I didnt know chinese food had that much sodium as well, cause I did try to eat well there, I had broc. chicken, mushrooms, green beans, chick on a stick. Apparently msg is EVIL! LOL! I am still feeling the aftershocks of my two days on the walk on the high salt side.. Keep flushing water.. hope by Monday's weigh in on the challenge I am doing that it will be back to a reasonable number or lower! :)
Michelle-Bring a canister of baby wipes for your hands, get your cooler ready for the boat..here are some ideas for you!
*Prepare chicken ahead of time, and put in individual zip lock baggies and enjoy cold chicken ...yum!
*Drinking Water
*styrofoam plates, silverware, garbage bag.
*L/c tortilla wraps in a zip locked baggie
*Butter in a squeeze container
*Boiled eggs (make some deviled or egg salad)
* Make cauliflower salad and put in disposable glad containers
*Baby Carrots, celery, cucumbers-sliced and in individual baggies
* Make your own trail mix-almonds, walnuts, cashews and mix in a low carb/sf candy like those peanuts or pb bites or the such.
*Tuna already open and drained or buy the foil packaged that is already drained for ease of packing.
*Cheese and deli meat of your choice in seperate baggies to throw on the l/c tortillas.
*Roast a turkey, slice it up and pre-bag it in portions.
*Fry up bacon (turkey bacon is my fav) and prepackage it.
*Deli meat, like hard salami, with cream cheese rolled in the center, and put in a zip locked baggie.. (maybe add a pickle)
*s/f jello (prebought-on sale at aldi's..LOL)
*slim jims
*Funnel out a cuke, fill with your chick salad, tuna salad, cream cheese
Don't forget about the different flavors of cream cheese or flavor it yourself w/ dry soup mix :)
Hope you like some of these ideas...

Taking hubby to the ER, cause he just got home and informed me that he still has a peice of a toothpick stuck in his throat. This happened last night while I was at the ladies meeting and he has suffered w/ it all day! My concern is that it is 'healing' over like it would a splinter in your hand, then it will become infected or abcessed, you know?
He tried soft foods, honey, hard foods.. chips.. lol.. to get it out...
So..yay.. go sit at the ER for God knows how long... blech.. I hate that part.... The dr already has gone home for the day, or I would just squeeze him in there.
See you all later

you CAN do it Michelle! :)
Hubby and I went to the ER.. of course the xray didnt show up a small pc of toothpick.. so they suggested that he try to see if its just not sore from the puncture of swallowing it, and if its not better by Monday, to go to a Ear/nose/throat so they can check it out then.
guess I am going to hit the sack..nite folks :)
