Yay, we FINALLY got some rain! I do not know if the grass survivived enough for hay, but maybe the alfalfa!

My weight is the same from my trip, I am having trouble getting back into workout mode though! (someone give me a swift one in the right direction please!!) :D

Oh BTW, Ellie, YOU LOOK GREAT! I like the color and style!! I need to update my own, (80's hair ya know!)

Well since it rained I will have more time in the house today, so I will make the most of it and get caught up on laundry, bills, cleaning, and working out!(though NOT ness. in that order!) :D

Have a GOOD THURSDAY!! And a BIG HELLO To everybody!!!

I will try to get back to you all later!

Good morning everyone. Just want to drop in and say a quick hello!! I am doing okay this week. I have been sticking with about 30 carbs a day. My weight is back down within 1/2 # of my lowest so far. I have not been to committed to my exercise and need to get back at it soon.

I will check in later Therese

Good Morning Everyone!

I did it again! I got up at 6am and went for a 50 minute walk. I'm really feeling it today having done this yesterday, plus a lot of time on my feet all day yesterday. It will be worth it though, when I see the scale going down, down, down.

I canned 40 jars of raspberry jam last night. It sure smelled good while we were bottling it.

We got a little rain yesterday and it looks like we'll get some today. I have a few new plants I need to get postted today.

good morning all!!

geeze shelly(actually there are still some people out there who call me shelly, or shell, but most say michele), what time do you think we all get up around here?!?!?! hehehe. acutally i am one of those people whose alarm had to wake them up, i spend about 10 min hitting snooze, then i am out the door in the next 10 min (coffee/bathroom/brushteeth,hair/dress...gone) then i get to work and wake up...hehe so it is 7am, i am at work now.

yesterday i thought was good, till i hit the scale this moring and was up...argggg (dawn, let me know when you find the trick to stop the bouncing) 202.0lbs so i took a look at fitday...
Calories Eaten Today

i think i have figured out, over 2000 i gain, 16-1800 i loose. i NEED to figure out how to get my calories down!!! this weekt he culpret has been summer sausage, pepperoni, and cheese.

next week i will be out of town. we will see how that goes. it is hard to find low-cal(low-carb), portable stuff ( i will be working on a boat all day) any ideas??? (keep in mind i will also have fishy hands so things like scooping peanut butter off of my finger are out....hehe)

song--mmmm rasberry jam. you reminded me i never told you the recipe i used for the sugar free strawberry stuff i made. there actually was no recipe. there is pectin you buy for sugar free-or sugar substitute jam. it is right next to the regular stuff. in it is a pamplet that tells you how much fruit to use per envelope of pectin and how much sugar substitute. i left out the sugar sub and just made it plain. i think this year i will add a little splenda though, but not as much as recomended. i have been putting 1packet of splenda in each jar as i open them. the stuff i made was freezer jam, but there was directions for the cooked stuff also. i can't wait for the berries around my house to ripen up. i am running out of the stuff i froze last year.

shrubie-- you and lissette should motivate eachother and get excercising!!!

i actually had a really good workout at the gym last night. it was my step aerobics class and i felt really good. i am just sooo ancious to loos a few more lbs, i am right inbetewwn sizes and am tired of wearing baggy or too tight pants!!

ok, i am awake now, time to get to working!!

Wow, Lissette started the thread??? :hyper: Hang in there, girlfriend, you do more in a day then I do in a week.

I'm doing better, been taking Aleve for my back, seems to be helping a little. I may try a light workout when I get home today. It's hot and humid here,so it will be inside in the air conditioning. (I can't believe I just wrote that, it's only the middle of May in PA  )

Food's ok. Ate a slightly higher carb dinner last night, a whole wheat pita bread with part skim mozzarella, pizza sauce and 6 pieces pepperoni. I need to do pizza crust, I really don't like the deep dish pizza base that much. So when I want to have pizza, that's what I'm doing. The pita only has 22 carbs and I don't average more than 16 at breakfast and under 10 at lunch. I am like Orang in that I do better with higher carbs. I also found that eating carbs last night helped me sleep better.(Now, if I only had Orang's weight stats :D )

Hi everyone.. I shouldnt have complained yesterday about my bouncing between 212-214..cause 216 showed up on my scales this morning.. BLEH!! It was cause of eating chinese so late last nite, so hoping that its just water weight. Also.. got the nutritional info back via email ... and the sodium for one serving was 3590... eeek!! So, since I ate 1/2 for lunch, then took my 1/2 and my friends half home w/ me..since she was flying out.. I had a whole serving that night.. so just for that alone, I had 5385 sodium! GEEEEEEZE loueeeze! So Michelle, don't take lessons from me..cause I have now left the bounce into another dimension........:(

So, beware fazioli's low carb option..

Good work on getting out there and motivating yourself Song.. 6 is VERY early for me! But I did go to curves today for my first round robin.. loved it..loved it..loved it! :)

mmm at the whole wheat pita pizza!

Been a slow week for me work wise.. but thats ok.. I have gotten some things done around here that otherwise I wouldnt.. :: looks at the sink full of dishes::::: bleh.. anyone else just HATE doing dishes? My pet peeves: silverware..and folding laundry: socks .. so silverware and socks are dh's responsibilities :) :)

Just a quick hello. I'm hanging in there, barely. I decided to completely scrap my original lessons for math tomorrow. I'm burnt out and so are the kids. So I am ending this unit early and we are playing a game. There's still lots of work to do, especially next week, but we all need a break tomorrow!

I am super uncomfortable right now. I got a little sun at the amusement park last week and my whole body started itching today. I'm not really peeling, b/c I didn't really get burned, but it's definitely in response to that, and it's driving me crazy!!!!

Song-Great job on the early morning workouts. You are on a mission!

Lissette-I am giving you a nice swift kick in the hiney to get back to working out (You don't want to mess with a teacher at this time of year):)

Acipenser-Sounds like you are finding what works for you. What is it about restricting your calories to 1800 that you find most difficult? Do you find that are unsatisfied? Maybe incorporating more veggies would fill you up, not a lot of carbs, but lotsa volume.

Elaine-I, too, like having my carbs at night, and I do find that I sleep a lot better as well. I love whole wheat pitas! My favorite right now is to take some grilled chicken, melt some light cream cheese and a little butter, stir in some chives, and stuff into the pitas. Yum!

Dawn-Chinese food is evil!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It causes an insane weight gain in me every time. I've heard it's the MSG, or even the soy sauce (which acts like MSG), and is to be expected. Although it tastes so good, I find that the after effects just aren't worth it:(

Wendy..one reason the soy sauce acts like MSG...MSG is derived FROM soybeans(or so I've been told)
