I've noticed that this forum is comprised primarily of women. LOTS of women. While I enjoy the company of women, I can't relate to this many women. No insult intended. I enjoy women, but our metabolisms and physical structures are entirely different, resulting in different questions and issues.
Having said that, would it be possible to have a room titled "For Men Only" or "Men's Corner"? That way, we men could discuss issues that are unique to manhood. It would be our little 1% corner in this forum of so many women.
I hope no one is offended by this unique request.

There have been threads that were aimed at men & encouraged men to gather there and post. But we try to keep most threads in the general area and focused on low carbing to avoid exclusivity.
You are welcome to start a thread in the Countdowns, Buddies & Challenges areas. You could drop into some of the men's journals and invite them to come and talk there. Or put it in your signature with a link to the thread so that any interested guys would know where it is.

I think there is already a 'men's club' type thread in the Countdown area? Its quite old tho. But I'm not sure...as I sure wouldn't have poked my nose in there at all :)

Let us know when the men's area starts up, or at least where it is.

You mean fat men's issues are different from fat women's issues and male dieters are different from women dieters?
I thought we were just all overweight people trying to lose the excess baggage we have been carrying around? (<:
Imagine.
I'm unclear what the need for a men's section is since I have had no trouble at all skipping the threads about TOM and the issues that are obviously just directed at one gender.
While I am sure there are some other men on this forum who also like to cook, I doubt I'd get as many good tips from a men's corner as I have from the overall forum the way it is now.

gotta say i agree with lasert, cant see a need really, as many of the issues are generic anyway, except the TOM ones, but even this may be useful to our other halfs at some point..
all the best

I love to cook. I actually used to support myself as a chef. How do you think I got so Fat! :)
Tony there are a few men at the CKD forum.
I have a lot of great recipies and can convert most recipies to low carb. Let me know if you have ant suggestions for conversion.
BTW Who the heck if this TOM guy, he doesn't seem to be very popular with the women!
Just kidding! (about TOM)

can ya post a link to the CKD forum please Jag, i'll take a loo mate..
from what I gather about this TOM guy, he turns up once a month or so, make the women shout and rant far more then usual, makes em take a hot water bottle to bed with em then disappears and leaves them in peace til the next time.. lol..
all the best guys, at the end of the day mens issues with this can be different, but at the end of the day we ALL are aiming for a better future...

I agree we should have a mens forum to get away from all the TOM talk.
