I'm not sure if this has already been posted - my apologies if it has been. It's a year old, but read the last line - it's bad enough to SUE!!

I could not belive that last line, refined carbs are not harmful?? I cannot believe there is a person on this planet that does not know that sugar and white flour are bad for you. They just make themselves less credible when they say things like that. It is irresponsible. I am so glad you posted that article, I found it very interesting. Stephie

The quote is from a "Judi Adams, a registered dietitian who heads the Wheat Foods Council".
What do you expect?

Makes me think of how many years the tobacco companies denied that cigarettes caused cancer ...

What a joke that line is! Of course, it's typical coming from someone who benefits financially from people eating wheat.

Skyangel - YES!! That is EXACTLY what I thought when I read it...and in about 10 yrs. I have no doubt that people with undiagnosed Celiac's/Leaky Gut Syndrome/Candida/the plethora of other wheat-related illnesses are going to come after the Wheat Boards for marketing thier product as 'healthy' for the majority. Anyone have any thoughts?

Maybe they will, but I doubt that they will win. The tobacco companies only lost when it became clear that they knew that nicotine was addictive.
Even though some people feel they are addicted to carbs, it's hardly a universal fact. Without being able to prove that the Wheat boards was promoting something they knew was addictive or unhealthy, they will never be liable.
