Does anyone know where I can buy some pectin? (preferably a
grocery store)

Look in the canning section of stores, it is sometimes used in
making jams/jellies.

I have no idea, it might. It is used by folk who make and can
their own jellies/jams/preservatives as a thickener. The
typical food store might not have these days a section devoted
to canning supplies such as the cans, lids, etc. and related
supplies. A look in the yellow pages might find it, or on the
net, look for canning supplies. It might be in the jello
section. Maybe a natural food store might have it.
