I've been on the Atkins diet for 3 years. I've managed to keep off 41 pounds total but am trying to lose another 20 pounds. I eat very little. I get up Mon-Thur. & Sat. at 4:00 A.M. and either walk 2 miles or do 30 minutes on the stepper. Every other day I do an ab workout and on the opposite day I do stretches and lunges. I also walk at lunch with girls at work. Little less that 2 miles. For some reason I'm stuck at this weight. I was tested last year and the year before for thyroid and the result was negative. However, when I walk in to the Herbal Store that I purchase my vitamins the dietician there looks at me and says that I must have a thyroid problem because of the 2 lines on my neck. Has anyone ever heard of this? I'm not giving up but getting very frustrated that I can't lose with all the excercise I'm getting. HELP!!

Hi-
I'm no expert, but I've struggled some myself. Are you on any hormones? BC of any type?? Any life changes that have altered your ability in anyway? I lost 11 pounds in 2 weeks following the low carb version of the curves plan and stopped abruptly after boostering my depo. Even though I've been off for quite a while, (my last shot was in Aug) I had trouble in Jan because of it- it wasn't until I went off for a while, that I could go back on again and loose. I tried not to go crazy while off (other than a little indulgence on vacation) but I'm back to loosing again.
I hope you can figure it out- I envy how far you've come!
