I went out to a function on Saturday night, everything was Hi carb. I thought that one meal wouldn't hurt me too much. Boy was I wrong, I had major carb cravings on Sunday, which I indulged in . I ended up feeling so nauseous last night. That'll teach me! I have been back on track today, but the old exhaustion is back, I have fallen asleep twice today. I didn't believe that carbs affected me so much, I now will think twice before doing that again.

don't worry about it. Best thing to do is to move forward.. remember how u felt, and learn from it, but move forward. tomorrow is a brand new day :) balance 1 wrong day with 1 right day... everything will balance out in the end

I hear you on that one! I was at a wedding Saturday and the meal was stuffed chicken, mashed potatoes, carrots and (thank god) roast beef... along with rolls, cake and ice cream and a huge table of hordehourvs(sp). But I was strong and had two pieces of roast beef only. and salad... It's tuff, but especially after reading your thread, I will do the same thing at the next wedding!!!!!
Just get back on track! :)

All the food at the function was arranged by a man, everthing was covered in pastry and there was not a vegetable in sight not even as a garnish. At least is only a once a year thing, I think I'll volunteer for the next one.

The best way to tackle that one is to eat before you go to a function if you are not sure of what is being served. Or bring a can of tuna or pork rinds that you can eat in the bathroom! ;)

Wow! I wish I had just one "bad day" to confess. Unfortunately, I have been bad for a month...went from my lowest (maybe back in June) of 158 to this mornings drastic 172. The positive side that I have found in this, is that I think that my success at quitting smoking is part of the cause. At least I quit smoking, though! Wow, was that hard. Today I am back on Induction with a vengance, and I'm going to STOP beating myself up about it. Hey, isn't this diet more successful if you don't smoke anyway???

It's supposed to be because smoking causes an insulin surge.

Great! Now I'm even more motivated to see some dropping numbers....
