OK, i know i am not 'suppose' to have coffee light n sweet w/ cream....BUT coffee really fills me, keeps me perky and keeps me 'regular' if u know what i mean...

So how can i find out the carb amount in a 14 oz lite n sweet w/ cream coffee....

This may help a little.

According to the USDA, a 6 oz mug coffee= .8 carbs
a 10 oz mug coffee= 1.3 carbs.

I usually count two grams for my 16 oz decaf in the a.m.

1 level tbs cream= .4 to .6 carb

I know mine in my fridge is 2 tbs= 1 carb, i gr sugar.

I think your best bet would be to measure the cream yourself, i cant believe how much i didnt realize i was using when i just poured. also, now i use the atkins syrup, and find that i dont need any splenda, and can get away with just 2 tbsp, cream for a 16 oz cup. i keep it in my car so its always around. i usually figure my morning cup to come to 3 grams carb total, after being really careful about what i put in it. i think it would be really easy to go up to six if you have a ton of cream and sweetener. i hope this helps a little.

I know what you mean about being regular. That's one reason I chose to keep my coffee ritual.

I've always liked coffee with cream, no sugar, so it's easy for me to just use the heavy whipping cream to lighten my coffee (less carbs than milk or half and half). I consider it to be about 2 carbs, though, because fitday rounds up for me.

I have my coffee every AM with 1 Pak splenda and 1 tsp of coffee mate only 1 carb. YES< it has corn syrup but I cant give that little treat up. I think ATkins says count each Splenda as one carb. So Im at 3. Big change from my regular soda and 3 T of sugar and 2 T of coffee mate and Lipton Ice Tea sweetend with 1/2 bottle 38 G of sugar and I drank 2-3 bottles a day. I used to have bad headaches and since Atkins and almost 0 sugar my headaches have lessened, other than the stress of my kids :)

Why not use heavy cream instead of Coffee Mate?
