1/4 lb. butter
1 large onion (or 2 med)
1 tsp garlic salt
3 tbsp. (heaping) curry powder
2 tbsp. masala
1 tin or 2 small
tins of tomato sauce
20 - 24 pieces of skinned chicken thighs and legs.
(I skin it because otherwise I find it slimy)
2 cups water
salt to taste

Chop up your onions. Saute them in butter until they are transparent. Add spices and tomato sauce. Add two cups of water to dilute. Add chicken pieces and a little more water (just enough to cover chicken).
boil for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours. I serve this with basmati rice to the rest of my family with the sauce on the rice. For myself I serve with cauliflower with the sauce on my cauliflower.

This is my moms ..with the original recipe coming from a wonderful Indian lady named Puro. Who is a good friend of my moms. I grew up on this and didn't have to alter anything for it to be lc.
