I decided to post this question, I hope its not "wore out" LOL ...I went through the archives and did not find the answer..

are the low carb products that are now everywhere you turn it seems ok on the south beach diet????

It really depends on the product itself, many will have locarb but high saturated fat so while they may be kind of ok for weight loss, they have the bad fat content. One of the things I really like about sbd is the focus on more natural and healthy foods.

Most of the sugar alcohol products give most people a lot of gas and stomach problems. I have tried the Breyers ice cream with spenda and think it is pretty good. Of course then it is hard for me to control the portions and I eat the whole thing in a few days.

One of the harder aspects of these diets is that it seems different people respond to different products differently, and you really have to guage what you are eating and how you are losing weight. It is a pretty unregimented diet in that you are not really counting carbs/fats/calories, etc.
