Does Anyone Out There Notice A Stall Or Weight Gain With Malitol Or A Substitute Of Sugar Like It? I Would Love Some Input.

I have heard others say that Malitol spikes their blood sugar as much as sugar... causing stalls. I have been avoiding it because I feel that is my case as well... And, it is so unnatural! Loosing the gas alone is enough of a reason to avoid it!
I've been satisfying my sweet tooth with DaVinci syrups. Hazlenut is delicious!

Thanks for the reply. It is true there are some unpleasant side affects to malitol. Have you heard of xylitol, it is suppose to be a natural substitute without any laxitive effects? I'm going to keep my eye out for it. It's just a shame because all the low carb treats are made with crap!!!

Malitol, and any sugar alcohol for that matter, tends to stall a lot of people out.

I think you could run a small steam engine with 3 people suffering the side effects of too much maltitol :D

Great Point!!!! Your not kidding. Why does it have to be in everything???? Couldn't they find anything better?????
Has anyone tried products made with Tapioca, like breads or snacks?
