So I was one who switched from Atkins to SBD b/c Atkins wasnt working. I have done 1 week of Phase 1. I havent lost even 1lb, or any inches.
Could this be why? I had pork-skins/and just read they are too high in sat-fat, then yesterday I had many peanuts and vanilla yogurt(I forgot...and thought I was going into phase 2.
Other than that I eat:
Breakfast: decaf coffee,w/sugar substitute, fat-free 1/2 and 1/2, and eggs
snack: (occasionally) park skim mozzerella
Lunch: salad w/either chicken breast or lean mean (sometimes) have tomatoes, cucumber, decaf tea or water.
Yesterday: I also had a sf popcycle w/15 calories before dinner.
Dinner: something w/veggies (broccoli, coliflower) or salad or lean meat and maybe butter beans, and sometime sf jello, or riccotta desert

What am I doing wrong???? b/c everyday i find out i wasnt supose to eat something i ate uggg!

I am being patient b/c I really dont have much to lose and i really have my whole life to do it. I just dont want my weight to every get rediculus and be so unhealthy so i watch it carefull now.

It could be that you're losing slowly or not at all because you're currently in the ideal range for your height and weight for a small framed person. The body seems to know when its ideal percent body fat is reached and balks at dropping further weight unless it's forced to by starvation. That's not to say I think you should starve yourself. On the contrary, you should eat in a very healthy way and make sure you're getting adequate calories. Sometime too few calories causes the body to hang onto it's weight thinking it's entered a time of famine.

I can't eat peanuts at all they always stall me...at least now they do. When I first started they didn't but they do now the closer i get to my goal weight. Don't eat the pork or yogurt. Stick to the list. Remember this is different than Atkins and you are eating more carbs in veggies so try to watch the fat. I found that's how my body works anyway. The more carbs i add (i'm in phase two) the lower in fat i take in. I eat egg whites and more chicken and fish...it's working. If you look at the book where they show the menus for phase two they cut down on cheese and do more veggies, chicken, and fish. He doesn't really talk about it in the book but it's true and that's where a lot of people (including me) went wrong and gained. I've done a lot of reading on this that's how I learned about it.

Thanks for the input. I was a little discouraged but read the SBD again and gained confidence. I would like to think I was at my ideal weight but no. Just 3lbs and I think I will be there. B/C I when I lost the most weight overall was about 3yrs ago. I go down to 115. But gained 5lbs. I HAPPILY stayed at 120 for about 2-3yrs then gained a little. So just 3lbs may take a little. I am working w/it.
It is probably the peanuts cuz I LLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVEEE them!!!! I will but them away as much as possible!
Also is fat-free or lean sandwitch meat (chicken meat)ok to eat? hope so

thanks so much
