Good Morning!
Aci- pm'ed you two times ( they have a message limit! LOL!) anyways..hope this helps so we can see fun pics from you soon! :) Glad you got the ball rolling here this morning!
Ellie- Back before my hsyterectemy, I had to have a few d/c's as well, and like bawdy, found that it was a fairly easy procedure, and I felt so much better afterwards!
Robin- hang in there..relaxation is on its way by the sounds of it!
Unity- How are you feeling?
Orang- going to try your breakfast drink! By the way.. I really admire how you are sticking to things, and plugging along.. you are doing awesome.
Nelson- hiya.. its ok to vent..we ALL do.. these folks here really are great w/trying to see things from a different perspective. I wouldnt get to stressed tho.. you know :bash: STRESS :skull: stalls weight loss too!
Elaine- you are doing great to...getting prepared for your surgery! You are going to feel amazing aftewards! I wish I had had the time to prepare mentally, physically and emotionally for mine back when I had it done, but such is life.. it was a shocker for me at 25 to have to.. but months later, ( i had a slow healing.. emotionally I think was the big hold up factor there!) one day, I had an ephiphany in the kitchen, I must have moved in a familiar manner that triggered pain in the past, and it dawned on me, that I wasnt having pain, and I cried in such relief realizing how much I had become adjusted to living with.
Kat- aint the weather here GRAND?Was on the phone w/ dad in northern ny, near canada, he said it was SNOWING. March can be a rotten month..sometimes way worse than Feb.
Waves to everyone, I have RUN outta time, have to DRESS yet and head over to the office.. MAKE a GREAT day folks.. oh.. I DID post my trucker saga to yesterdays thread...

Hi everyone!
I just posted a whole lot in the other thread so I am not going to say much here, but I am excited to get back with my Protein Power Pals, even if I am not exactly doing Protein Power anymore. Everyone here is so wonderful, and Protein Power is a great plan and helped me out so much to get to where I am today. Hope you all have a wonderful evening!

Hi, all! Checking in one more time before signing off for the night. Probably won't get a chance to post tomorrow. I'll be lurking, though!
And darn you again, Wendy. Now the CAD plan is all I can think of, and I can't wait to get to the bookstore tomorrow! I've done a little research, and the CAD Lifeplan (or whatever they call the second book) is specifically geared to people over 40. We're going to Florida on April 21, and I would really like to get down to 160 by then. A silly goal, what what the heck!

This has turned out to be quite the busy week
Yesterday's menu:
B - 2 eggs scrambled w 2 oz ham and a little diced onion in a tsp of butter, 1 cup coffee w/H&H cream
S - 1/2 carbwise bar
L - Steakhouse salad from applebees full order  ate all of the meat, 1 tomato slice passed on the onion, diet pepsi
15 minute ab class (OUCH!), 1 hour yoga class
S- 2 deviled eggs
D - 6 oz baked boneless chicken thighs using the same recipe for the pork chops (almond flour, parmasan cheese, seasonings), Hienz SF ketchup, 1.5 cups mixed oriental veggies w/tsp butter
Dessert 4 strawberries sliced w/whipped cream
Today my appetite seems to have settled down a bit and well and my TOM issues. My workouts having pretty awesome! I am feeling good and strong but I must say my abs are so sore today!
I tried to follow a CAD like approach to maintenance and was not sucessful. It led me to gain back 5 pounds. I have too many issues with the type of carbs that are eaten with dinner or the CAD meal and I know it will lead me to failure. Having said that, I do not believe that is won't work for others, just not for me :) Heck....I couldn't even handle LC bread without eating way too much
Bawdy - I started to tan today too! Started out at 7 minutes, didn't want to burn my privates

Eightc
Hope you are having a better day today - I have days when all I want to do is eat as well - I drink a lot of water on those days - it helps me. I know you are ready for spring - hope you get a few warm days to tie you over until it arrives.
Nelson:
Welcome to the thread - You sound a lot like I feel some days. My weight was inching down for quite a while. I lowered my calorie intake (to between 8 - 9.5 calories per pound) to get it down a bit for the hiking season and it did work, but it has been tough.
You mention measurements have not changed, but weight has increased slightly. It is possible you are putting on muscle mass. I mention this because I appear to be do this. I have keep a journal for years - and it contains references to events for which I have pictures. I wore a dress to a funeral on Sunday that I wore to my husband's mother's funeral several years ago - I weighed 155 lbs when I wore that dress years ago - today I weigh 172 lbs. This seems impossible, but the dress fit.
During this process, my bust-waist-hip measurements were not changing much - but my upper legs, upper arms, calves were - and the 'pouch' between my waist and hip measuring area was getting smaller.
Elaine-
So good top see messages from you - keeping you in my prayers
Kat-
Know you are enjoying the great weather
Wish the "I hate Ice Cream" diet worked that well for me...
OK group - here's the plan - first we go to Joisey to hunt down the missing Yeti and then we swing up to Canada to search for Marnie. Who's going with me?

Hi all, been busy at work and getting ready for surgery next Thurs. Yikes!!!
Man, I wish that Breyer's diet worked for me. That's what I crave. Tried some Ben and Jerry's Carb Karma, thought the taste was kind of flat.I like Edy's No sugar added. I like the breyer's carb smart but I seem to not be able to stop eating it. :nono:
Had actual pizza for lunch yesterday. Went out with some friends for lunch. Had not had any real pizza for MONTHS. I enjoyed every bite!
Going to spend part of the weekend cooking and freezing meals for the next few weeks after surgery. (can't cook THAT much, I only have a regular apt size freezer  )
I've been tinkering with my meds-taking 1 1/2 synthroid pills and using 2 estradiol patches instead of the one twice a week since nonstickpam said my levels looked really low. I feel a little better, a little less achy and tired. After my surgery, I have an appt with one of the about-thyroid.com's "Top Docs" and will see about permanently raising the dosages on both. They both go off the same receptor site in the body. That Pam knows her stuff!!!!
Just to relax before surgery, I was watching Stephen King's "Kingdom Hospital"
Thank you for all the prayers, they are most welcome and comforting. :)
Dawn, that trucker story was something else.Glad you are ok.
Lissette, get out there and show those cows who's boss  Well, at least get out there
Hi Bawdy, Orang, Ellie, our long lost Wendy, acipenser, blu, Nelson, Songberrie and anyone I neglected to mention!
