I'm new to all this, but after reading several threads, I'm thinking I may have this candida stuff. Yuck! My question is, how do you know which supplier to get things to counteract it from? Price, quality, etc? I visited alot of web sites and each makes their product sound like the answer, but how do I choose?
thanks. Cats

I get almost all of my supplies at Fred Meyer. Where do you live and shop?

I never heard of Fred Myer - is it a chain, or online supplier? I live in a small town in Nebraska. Get to the city (ie, health food stores) about once a month; so sort of thought I'd shop online.

Fred Meyer is like Wal Mart or K Mart only with more food. I will look up the stuff I buy and send you a suggestion. Is there anything in particluar you think you'd like to try? Are you low carbing? That's helping me and my tongue is finally turning pink again.

Look up Nature's Way brand and they have many of the products I buy at Fred Meyer. The single most important item in the Standardized Extract section is Oregano Oil. They also offer psyllim HUSK, not seed for helping flush these guys out. They show they have garlic, also Olive leaf is good. Do you have any grocery stores where you live? Some of these items might be right there in town.

I shop on-line at www.iherb.com they carry just about everything I need at really good prices. I really like the Candistroy. It comes with an antifungal and a probiotic supplement at a reasonable price.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I went to iherb and that Candistroy stuff is what I had decided on too. I also ordered a Colen cleanse. Thought I'd do that first (since constipation has been a real big problem for me on this LC diet).

That's great!! I would recommend with the Candistroy taking only 1 dose at bedtime for a few days at first. If you have candida bad enough, the first die off can make you feel miserable. I felt flu-ish for a few days, it got easier after that. So start easy and take more from there like the directions say. Good luck!!

Reading the instructions, it looked like I could do the Colen Cleanse and start the Candistroy (sp) at the same time. It said to start with 1 tab. each in am and 1 tab. at night for a week, then 2, then 3. When you said start with 1 tab at night - did you mean, just at night, & not in am? Also, do I really have to get to 3 am & pm? That's 6 each product, total 12 of this stuff per day!!! Yuk! My stomach is revolting just thinking about that! Not to mention my budget, that would mean there's not even a month supply in the 2 bottles (?) Thanks. Cats
P.S. The Colen Cleanse has help aleviate the constipation. Thank goodness! :yay:

Yes, I only took them at night for the first few weeks. The die off can make you feel very sick and if you take them before bed you will sleep through the worst part of them starting to work. After a while you can take them am & pm to get a higher level of the candistroy in you to finish off the little buggers. I took the Candistroy at night and the probiotic in the morning. Hope they help!
