Hi....like alot of people on atkin's I'm suffering with hair loss....I got the suppliment Biotin to help because I had read on here alot that people use it for hair loss. Anyway, the one I have says it's 800 MCG and on the daily reccommended dose it says that 1 tablet is 267%. Well, I don't have a lot of experience with vitamins and suppliments...never been one to really take them until I started atkin's and I'm worried that I may be taking too much since 1 tablet is 267% of the daily recommended dose and the directions is to take 1 tablet 3 times a day with food. I just don't want to make myself sick.
Anybody know if this is safe?

I don't think a supplement will help with the hairloss. Its just your bodies reaction to weight loss.
Lots of vitamins are water soluable, you just pee out any excess. I don't know if Biotin is or not, probably is.

yes biotin is water soluable. I take a Megabiotin every morning, and I can say...
having Alopecia Areata and loosing hair from weight loss... this stuff does work!
I am living proff, myself.
My Dermatoligist even highly recomended taking a Megabiotin once a day.

How exactly is megabiotin different from regular biotin? Also how many mcg's is it?

sinistress-- do u take sundown biotin by any chance? I took 1 of those daily and saw no results--when i upped it to 3 daily, it really helped.
yes, how much is in a megabiotin? I saw some higher dosages and was thinking of taking them but was worried that so much biotin ingested at once wouldn't be absorbed and that it would be best to spread it throughout the day?

Yes, trustycat....mine is sundown biotin 800 mcg's and I later found one that was higher but didn't get it....I'm having a hard time remembering to take 3 of them a day so 1 a day would be great!
