I hope that I'm not breaking any rules here. I'm new to the LC WOL & have been purchasing my ketone strips from the local Wal-Mart. The container of "Thinz" strips costs around $13.00 for 25 strips. I found a pharmacy website called Hocks.Com where I purchased 2 bottles of 100 strips each for a little less than $10.00 per container (plus S&H). That's 200 strips for the price of 50! Just want to share the good news & hope it will help some other "poor folks" like me. :)

Here's my first post! Nice to be here!

I was appalled at the high cost of these little plastic strips that amount to 'nuthin, so I took a few minutes to cut each one in half (it dawned on me that there's no reason for them to be as big as wide they are!)

One caution, when cutting make sure not to touch the "detection" part of the strip with your fingers, as it will taint it.

This made my ketostix last twice as long, and made me less angry about the cost!

Hope this helps!
