Cholesterol is measured in 2 different ways in various countries: a traditional method of mg/dL or the SI method (systeme internationale) of mmol/L. If you want to convert back and forth, here's the formula:

your mg/dL x .0259 = your mmol/L
eg. 240 mg/dL x .0259 = 6.22 mmol/L

or your mmol/L divided by .0259 = your mg/dL
eb. 6.22 mmol/L divided by .0259 = 240.1 mg/dL

whew! Now my home cholesterol kit makes some sense.

thanks

Glad you found a formula.

I had posted a website with tables and values in response to your request, in another thread; perhaps you didn't see it. Anyway, here it is again, http://www.neosoft.com/~uthman/lab_test.html .. it's a long list, and Cholesterol and Triglycerides are halfway down the page. It includes conversions for other blood values as well including blood sugar, liver and kidney tests too.
