I have been struggling with weight loss! I keep searching for answers to this problem and something in another post kind of triggered this thought for me. Has anyone had the experience of having better weight loss results after lowering their blood sugar?

Well.. you know I'm kinda new to all this too, but I think it makes sense that weight loss would be easier with lower blood sugar, just having it higher means more insulin, which means more fat storage, etc.

One thing that I learned when I first began Atkins was that the body burns carbs before it burns fats. Carbohydrates burn easier. So if you are consuming alot of carbs the body will burn those and store that stuff we call fat. By drastically reducing carbohydrate intake, the body is forced to burn fat. Then, as I learned more and more about the lo carb woe, I learned that there is a hormone called glucagon which is produced by the pancreas when insulin is balanced. This hormone helps the body to sweep away fatty deposits from the arteries.
Also, by lowering carbohydrates the body will not cry out for them because it is using alternatives. Therefore those late-nite doughnut cravings will dissapear.
