Jimmy John's sells all of their sandwiches wrapped in lettuce leaves instead of bread. I find that superior to low carb buns since it works for induction/phase 1 as well. They charge equal price - which makes sense, and might even be generous - they have quite a lot of layers so you can eat some of the unwiches free-hand (not recommended for tuna salad).

Hey thanks for the heads up on this! We have Jimmy John's all over Chicago and I didn't know they offer this. Cool!

I prefer snadwiches wrapped in lettuce - give me crunch over smoosh anytime. And that way you know it really is low carb. I wish some restaurants around here would catch on. Butl lets face it, as cheap as lettuce is, I bet it's still more expensive to buy and keep than buns. I keep waiting for restaurants that I have change their meal for me into low carb, like marinara sauce on steamed vegies or lobster "roll" on salad greens instead to start charging a premium. Which I would gladly pay to eat well.
