I noticed today that the online grocer from which I order my groceries now offers a low carb ice cream from Ben & Jerry's. It's more carbs than I can have, but others might be able to handle it...

LOL, Ben & Jerry's is what brought me to LC in the first place... I am addicted to their Brownie Batter ice cream.

 That's an excellent point, Paris! I guess this must be part of their customer retention program. ;)

I've been looking for this ice cream every week, I'm with you Doanld, too high for me too. I'll stick to my occasional 1/2 cup of Atkins chocolate peanut butter ice cream. :)

I had the chocolate at a ben and jerrys here in my town. I was ok. I really have to say I like the atkins brand better. The ben and jerrys choc was kinda bitter. The vanilla almond was yummy though

It does have 2 net carbs but it is disgusting. I haven't tried the others, but the vanilla almond is really bad!

I tried the Vanilla Almond today. It's not bad but I think the Breyers Low Carb Ice cream was much better.

My goodness, how lucky you all are to have low carb icecream at all! Here in Perth Australia we have zip in that department and s'pose have to make it at home. Mmmm. Never mind....for now will have to make do with home concoctions. :(

Well, this is my first post even though I've been scrolling and scanning through this forum secretly for quite some time now. :) I just thought I'd reply quickly to this topic regarding the mention of Silhouette Ice Cream Bars...I purchased the chocolate peanut butter Skinny Carb Bars recently and have to say in my opinion that they aren't worth the extra money or carbs. Luckily I bought them on sale. They weren't awful, but they weren't that good either. They were sort of a stale peanutty taste and not very chocolatey at all. I'd rather buy (Breyers) Carbsmart chocolate fudge bars at the same count of net carbs (3). Hope this helps. Thanks for being such a wonderful forum! :yay:

I didn't think the B&J Vanilla Almond was disgusting (that's a bit harsh), but not interesting enough to have it again.

I really, REALLy like the Atkins Butter Pecan. It doesn't taste as watery or flat as the Chocolate Peanut Butter one.

The best ice cream, of course, is the Chocolate Fudge Truffle Explosion by Edy's Dreamery (or the Tiramisu....to die for!)

Stats: 1,000 carbs

hehehe

but a spoonful or two ain't gonna kill me ;-)

The lecarb was ok, but texture was like a chocolate icey. The Ben and Jerry vanilla almond was like cool whip, ok but bland. Now the Bryers finally made my picky DH smile. He is an icecream nut. :)

I had the b&j's half baked ice cream and did not like it one bit. The cookie dough and brownie pieces they put in it are good but the ice cream tastes like watered down skim milk. Not worth the big bucks at all. Now I did find the brand called Homemade that is wonderful. I got cookies and cream and loved it. I found it at Marsh Supermarkets in pint size. I hope they come out with bigger size soon!

i had the chocolate at the ben & jerry's scoop shop and thought it tasted just like the real thing! I hope it wasn't (by accident)!!

I tried the Ben & Jerry's swiss almond and found that the vanilla part tasted alot like Pepto Bismol. Of course, I kept eating it, hoping that the next bite would taste better, and after about 1/4 of the pint, it tasted pretty good. I much prefer the one by Breyer's though.

you posted the carb count for the b&j
was that subtracting the fiber from the total carbs, if so then that would make the carb count somewhat o.k.

no?

i'm intersted.... i want to eat ice cream again

pretty plese let me know

I tried the B&J half baked last night and threw out the pint. Bleah. So far, I've been unimpressed with the chocolate, vanilla almond and the half baked. So why is the Super Fudge Chunk so amazingly, spectacularly good? Did I get a pint of regular by accident? Argh.
