Well, my weight is finally moving down a bit. I was so encouraged that I even lowered my goal by 5 lbs. I really had to cut the calories down to 1000 per day to get the scale to budge, but I figured that it is not a forever thing.
Well, it seems that everytime a couple of lbs leave my body, my BG's go up. Could it be that the body perceives weight loss as stress. I really don't mind putting up with BG's in the 110-120's for a while as I lose weight....knowing that less weight will mean less IR.
Has anyone else had this experience? I feel like I just want to "go for it" with the weight loss. This is getting too boring....just losing one pound per month!!!

I'm with ya on that
My weight loss has stalled for over a month and my BG numbers have risen on average 10 pts.
So I bought a home gym and am hoping that will get things moving again.
If not its back to induction at the first of the month.

A topic you may find interesting is the Cortisol one presently being discussed at Dr Bs own forum, or it can be 'searched' in the Exercise forum here......
Also, this is a quote from: http://www.wannabebig.com/article.p...eid=67&pageid=2 which I think explains the big hole we can fall into when doing 6-12-12 and why I am not happy with such a low carb intake.
"Truth is that as your body becomes more efficient at processing fat over time it becomes less efficient at processing carbs. This means over time there is a dramatic decrease in insulin sensitivity--this is known as insulin resistence"
So, I wonder, is it the increased I/R that causes stalls..??

Hi there...
Interesting indeed! Since beginning a low carb WOE I have been dramatically decreasing my insulin injections, and I am almost off entirely.. hoping that by my next Dr visit, he will say.. wala.. (I take 4u 70/40 am and 7 u in the pm)
I had a stall in the weight loss area for almost 3 weeks, then with this last lowering of my dosage this last week, I have lost 2 lbs...but noticed my bg's raised up a tad as well, nothing major, for instance my fasting bg this morning was 113, and yesterdays was 115.
I will have to keep a close eye on the weight loss correlating to the bg's to see.. if it is related.

hmm.. this happened to me too this week. I had not noticed a pattern before... but will have to keep my weight next to my daily bgl testing each morning.

Well, I took some organic vegetable broth and made 1/2 gallon of "egg-drop" soup....just scrambled eggs into the hot broth. Lost 5 lbs in 3 days. AND BG's did not raise! Yipeee...doing the happy dance!
