Hello All,
I've started and stopped Atkins several times now and have noticed that when I'm LCing, I get major food aversions. The texture of meat grosses me out and food in general doesn't sound good to me. I don't know how many times I've started to eat something and just can't finish it because I get grossed out by it - whether it be cheese, meat, or LC bars. Why does this happen?
I don't have any problems though when I'm not LCing.
I know I'm resistent to dairy, but the whole meat thing baffles me.
What causes this?
Thank you!

I don't know anything about the cause, however, I know I've been way grossed out by over easy eggs. I used to like them.

Sometimes I'll be hungry but just the idea of eating grosses me out. I'll think of the lc foods that I have at home to choose from and just feel yucky and don't bother eating sometimes, which is not good!!

I ALWAYS have an aversion to mushrooms :Puke:

The other way with me. I can now eat things which used to gross me out. E.g. beet (English beetroot) and many other veggies I didn't use do like.

I was like that in the begining, but upping carbs a bit and also getting down to a lower weight cured me of all that :). My appetite is pretty normal now, although sometimes I go through bouts of strong hunger right around a loss.

I have found a lot of food I used to hate pre-atkins I like now. Avocados are a good example.
