Okay, I am soooo sorry if this question has been over asked, or beaten to death.
I tried the search forum, and I have gone back for ever in posts. I even went to *ask jeeves.com* and STILL I can not find the answers.
So I beg anyone to help clarify this issue for me.

FIBER!
I hear its non soluble, an does not count as a *carb* per say. Because it is not absorbed by the body.
Is all-bran cereal with hot water or whole cream okay to eat on a low carb diet?

To find *Net Carbs* , I think I understand that you subtract the total *fibre from the carb* and that gives you the actual carb total.

I dont want to throw my hard earned discipline out the window, but I can not seem to find any answers out there. About the all-bran cereal, no sugar added..

Please help the Newbie anyone with the answers.... :)

Eating All Bran is a very personal choice. :) A lot of people wouldn't touch it for different reasons: The count is too high, it will raise your blood sugar, eating it first thing in the morning can set off cravings...

I had a little box of All Bran recently at a breakfast buffet, and among the ingredients was high fructose corn syrup. :exclm: That's worse than sugar. So much for All Bran... it needs to be renamed Some Bran. A better option is plain wheat bran - nothing added to it and it's way cheaper.

Thank you very much for the illumination! You are all very informative. Its great!

I was under the wrong assumption, that it was okay to eat bran. Thanks for pointing out the fructose aspect. I guess I still need to do alot of research.
So now I know how to do this the proper way!

Take care,
