'lo all

I just finished reading The Atkins book and I think I am ready to start induction tomorrow. My neighbour has lost 45 lbs on this diet and has maintained for about 5 months now. She has lent me her book and counter for the week to see how I like it, before I go out and invest.

Like most eveyone else I suppose I've tried most every kind of diet out there and it just doesn't seem to work for me. I think its going to be though to give up breads and pasta but I know that I eat Way too much of it.

My motivation is my upcoming wedding next july. I know I probably won't be at my goal by then., but any that I can have off will surely help. Plus it gives me motivation to think about it.

I'm at 256lbs right now and I hope to get somewhere in the 130-140 range. The thing is I don't know what weight I would look good and feel comfortable at since I was always a fat kid.

Here's hoping this one will work.

hello peaches :)
Just take it day by day, it's great to have a goal, but make smaller interval goals say each month how much u've lost etc.. also keep a food journal, it doesn't have to be too detailed ~ it will help keep u focused! oh and weigh urself once a week so u don't get impatient/upset about small gains/losses, also it's a good idea to measure urself..
good luck, and keep us posted on ur success!
