Wow....can we say, "Amphetamines"?
Last time I saw a mouth moving that fast was at an auction!

My goodness! She's just as rude as she ever was. Does she ever shut up?
Who says we aren't eating fresh vegetables like her? I think our low carb programs have proven themselves even if she disagrees!

Hahahahahahahaha. What a coo-coo bird!

She's got it partly right, though. It is the refined and processed carbs that are the problem. If only she realized that in general principle, she agrees with Atkins!

I agree, WHAT is she ON!
and her hair?
I remember her when her hair was cut short and bleached, she was mouthy but she looks like she's on diet pills

Too bad I couldn't get a closer look at her eyes. Even my DH (who works in substance abuse recovery) said he thinks she's on something; his exact words were, "She's got to be on something".
While I know that some people do have a naturally high energy level, the last time I saw someone talking that fast and exhibiting some of the behaviors she is (notice the frequent fussing with her hair), they were on speed. It could also explain the verbally agressive behavior.

also, I think that is bad for her own publicity to down atkins and low carb like that, she is making enemies right from the start. If she wants people to listen to her program, she can't bash programs, she's burning bridges.

You're right. She was even bashing the brother. She needs serious counseling. Probably her husband needs it worse than her. Ha!

I saw the webcast of her on Fox TV (from the above link), and got a headache.

She's so hyper she made me nervous. I think I need a drink....of low carb milk from those bovine infected cows she kept screaming about.

The pink hair made me even more nervous!

She's obviously trying for a come-back, but I don't think the public will be suckered in by her low fat diet mantra anymore...I got fat by eating the way she told me to eat...never again!!!

She should work in the fruit market or something.
How bad and low can you get?

You see, she is a vegetarian (sorry to the vegans on the site) and really pushes it, where Atkins recommends eating meat, totally opposite of her philosophy

Well. She makes me think of a carnival barker -- talk about a hard sell! She certainly dispels the stereotype that vegetarians are peaceful, centred, tree-huggers, doesn't she? I'm pretty sure (I HOPE) that she winced inwardly later when she thought about what she had said on camera; it sounded to me like the nonsense one might gabble when extremely nervous.

I think I'll stop the insanity and go make a Mock Danish.

OMG - she's even more hopeless now than she was in the 90s when she was just a drunk. Now she's added pills to the mix and she's an expert on nutrition and a fitness maven? Give me a break. Better yet, give me some rare prime rib with a side of steamed broccoli doused in olive oil!

She and the PCRM should join forces. They would fit well together.

i am on dial-up and can only get two or three words at a time before it rebuffers so i cannot really watch it-though i did try.
Having said that, i am wondering if my ears deceived me.
Did she say near the beginning of the interview that she looked up from the *diaper pail* and that she has a new six YEAR OLD baby?

Well, I have broadband and all I get is the commercial and a word or two from Neal. Too bad, because I really wanted to see the clip. I thought she was a perputal motion machine and a motor mouth back in the early 90's. It is hard to believe she could sustain that level of energy for over 10 years without some "help"!

Hey, Hey Hey! Don't judge all us veg heads by that crazy woman. I personally hate plants and that is why I eat them.

Hi FromVA,

I could only get the ad and a few words from the reporter too. Try going to options and click real player and decreasing the hook up speed to 56K broadband. It worked for me.

I can't believe that I bought into her "stop the insanity" crap when she first came out. I can't stand to look at her anymore. She's flipped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She doesn't even know you can be a vegetarian and follow the Atkins plan. I think she's wild and crazy if not addicted to amphetamines.

She is rather self-opinionated. I wonder who winds her up in the morning. Reminds me of the Duracell battery advert, just keeps on going and going and going. The only bit of sense she spouted was about the suger rich drinks companies sponsoring the schools.

The last time I saw somebody behaving like her, they were bipolar and off their meds.

Scary.

Dean might be able resurrect his campaign if he were to add her as his proposed running mate and they gave joint speeches. "Going to California!...Oh but I hate Los Angeles!..."

About half the women and men on the competitive (slam) poetry scene are like that. Imagine being at a party with 150 people talking like that and another 150 looking bewildered. Of course, a lot of slam poets are bipolars off their legal drugs and on illegal ones. I was sort of a novelty because I only drank beer.

I retired from that scene 3 years ago in part because my weight was making it difficult to compete...my limbs would go tingly and then numb onstage, and the judges would start with a bias (look at the fat, privileged white guy) that was hard to overcome.

Oh, and thanks, too, LauriTheRN - worked for me, too. Watched the whole twisted thing. Really took me back - and aback.

Her emphasis on whole foods wasn't that bad, content-wise, but coming from her, it made me wonder if some processed foods might calm her down a bit.

I can't get it to work :( I even tried LauriTheRN's suggestion about the speed...I did get to see a bit more!

I always thought she was a little off her rocker....although her workout tapes were good (not surprisingly, she's "yelling" at you the whole time to keep going")

Wasn't there a rumour a few years back that her weight loss was actually from surgery, not self-discipline? I could be wrong though...

Thanks for posting this...I did check out her website...wow! someone should tell her the sporty-spice look is gone, even Mel C doesn't dress like that anymore!

She did say diaper pail and then she said six-year-old baby, but I don't know what the heck that means. I sure hope she doesn't still change the diapers on her six-year-old.

Either way, she's still crazy.

kath310...I had to switch to "Real Player" to get it to work, as well as going to 56K.

I heard all that needs to be said about her and her diet program simply from the fact that you don't get a shred of information about it from her website without paying the fee. Obviously she has finally spent all of the cash she made off of lying to people in the 80's and now it is time to try and make some more.

She doesn't make any sense! Maybe if she slowed down from warp speed we could understand what language she's speaking

It was funny how she avoided the question on if she'd had any work done--commenting that it's not her real hair. She had a tummy tuck done, paid for by her publishers--skipped right past that, didn't she??

The whole thing with her brother, too. Skimmed right over that-did she ever weigh 258?? In the picture I've seen a thousand times, she looks like she's holding a baby that's been deleted out (she looks like immediate post delivery) and the picture is kind of blurry anyway-who knows if it's even her.

I fell for her crap in the mid-90's, followed her plan and exercised 6 days a week--didn't lose a pound! Thinking back, her diet is about 90% carbs!! Feeling a bit threatened by the LC wave??

Lastly, I have 2 of her work out videos and YES, they are good, but I always press the mute button when I use them

That energy level is just not sustainable without assistance, IMO

Add me to the pool of poor misguided fools who fell for her crap in the 80's.

And yes, she DID have a tummy tuck. I think that when that was confirmed, people really started to lose interest in her.

I personally was VERY offended when she said, "didn't somebody shoot him?" (about Dr. Atkins) and also referred to Dr. Atkins as "the meat lobby's dead puppet." How very, VERY tacky. And desperate. Bitch.
