Is it possible that some people just lose slowly on this diet?

I'm pretty sure that I lost about 2 pounds in induction (I'm not positive because I didn't weigh myself - too scared! :))

Then this week so far I have lost another 2 pounds. So that's 3 weeks and one day total I have been doing this. I need to lose 50 pounds.

Does sometimes the diet take a while to kick in, and not everyone loses alot of their weight during induction?

The scale gave me some hope this morning. I was getting pretty frustrated.

Also, looking at my journal, I think I need to definitely cut out alot of my coffees and teas with cream and splenda. My carb count is almost 16 for the day and it's only 1:30! It didn't help having that mock danish this morning either. (That's the problem when I find something that I like to eat, I overindulge!).

Thanks!

Why not try to do the simplest possible form of Induction? Have one coffee but maybe make it decaf - that's still counted as 1 carb. Then just drink a glass of water when you think of having another coffee.

Stick to veggies & salad, meat, fish, chicken, eggs, butter & oil. Cheese is limited to 2 ounces of hard not cream cheese per day. And cream is also just 2 fluid ounces.
Leave the mock Danish etc for the 3rd week.

The water is essential for losing. And coffee doesn't count.

The fewer deviations from the strict form of Induction you make, the more weight you should lose.

All the best.

The individual weight loss speed can be very different. It depends on many different things. (Age, gender, number of previous weight loss attempt, etc.)
The average weight loss is 10% of your excess weight during induction, then 5%/month. But it is an average. If there are poeple who lose faster, there should be many who lose slower.

Deviations from the rules can slow down this process.
On the other hand exercise - even the simpliest walking (5x30 min/week) can give a little bust:-))

Do not give up. This is a long learning process for all of us:-)
