It's been a month, and I have fluctuated between 192 and 195, presently at 194. I'm not losing anymore and it's been a month !!
I went all the way back to 2 weeks of 20 gm carbs per day, and still nada. Cut out heavy cream, coffee, and now pork rinds ( for fear of salt/water tretention issues), and still nada. If my weight starts to go up, I'm givin up yall. I might as well have carb city again, as be deprived and no benefits.
I am truly eating only the things I ate at induction when I started.
I stopped doing the 3 meal thing every day, just kinda grazing along during the day and large dinner. But my carbs are always <= 20 grms net per day(mostly < 20net) . Is this going to be more than just carb count now? Will just a low carb count not make it for OWL ?
I'm feeling really w/o confidence here. I've been very w/o all my favorite stuff for 3 months now, and I want some for real benefits, or what's the point? I'm not into self deprivation. I need ongoing results to deprive myself on an ongoing basis :) Else all is for naught. TY, peace

You fitday link in the journal isn't working, but from what you have listed in your journal, I don't see NEARLY enough veggies. You'd be amazed at how much it helps, whether its because of something IN the veggies or because they fill you up for fewer calories, I don't know. But it helps.

Personally, I have to stick to three meals and a snack. If I "graze" I don't lose. That's an individual thing, though, so your "milage" may vary.

You lost well above average during the firs two months (72% contrary the average 10% during induction, 5%/month later), so it is possible that your body simply readjusts. How about instead of grazing all day and big dinner to change for a big breakfast and 3 meals + 2 snack or something similar?
Sometimes not lowering but step by step upping the carbs is the key.
Something othere. Have you tried any exercise? A little morning cardio before breakfast might give a bust:-)

P.S.: Contrary the popular belief, Atkins never said that calories do not count in this WOE/WOL.

Have you tried entering everything you eat in Fitday for a few days? Could be your carb counts are off, could be your cals are too high/low. I agree to try eating 3 meals rather than snacking. That works for some. What about water/vits/exercise??? Don't give up yet! You've done sooo well and that proves this works for you. Everybody has to 'tinker' a bit because we're all individuals--not one-size-fits-all. Caffeine, sugar alcohols...all kinds of things to check out :)

I'm a weenie I guess, but I need it sometimes :)
thanks, and I shall keep plugging.
My exercise is nill, and my calories are pretty high.
I don't get much from veggies.
Those three items are what I shall address, starting last night.
I did my usual cheeseburger (1/2 lb with sliced cheddar), but added 2 cups cauliflower, 1 1/2 cups broccoli. Then I munched during the evening on bag of pork rinds w/splenda and cin. .
I cut out the seasoned pork rinds for fear of sugar.
Thanks again kids, for the boost up :)

Going for "carb city" again would certainly be the worst possible decision to make - expecially since you've had such excellent results LC:ing - wow, 31 lbs lost?!!
Congrats to you!! http://babusjka.com/diverse/smileys/up.gif

As Potatofree said, more veggies is probably one of the keys here. The fibers you get from them sure is of great help losing. Have you read this article (http://atkins.com/Archive/2001/12/15-710297.html) on fibers at the Atkins website? I think it very clearly explains the importance of getting enough of them - both from a general health- as well as the weight loss aspect.

I graze too - some people benefit from it (keeps the blood sugar levels steady) - but if I'm not careful, the carb count (and indeed kcal count - oh those almonds... *sigh*) can sneak up since it's harder to keep track of the amounts you eat unless you plan out your "daily graze" in advance.

Do you drink your water? I find that when I lax, I stop losing weight. Ideally, I drink a gallon+ daily.

Keep up the good work! :)
