 Hi Officer, welcome and congratulations on a good start.
Every induction loss is different with different amounts lost. Yours is a good start, I think.
I need to give you some advice, however. You must drink your required water during the day (at least 64 oz.). I love coffee also, but I had to rethink when I could have it. If you don't drink your water, you won't get rid of the ketoses or the weight. It's actually damaging to your body if you don't get rid of the ketoses.
Try to limit your coffee to morning and afternoon. Carry a water bottle or buy bottled water instead of the coffee.
Eat a good portion of meat at meal time. The reason for this is to keep you from being hungry in between. Your meals will sustain you better. You have to be sure to eat enough carbs or you're weight loss will stall. Your body thinks it is being starved and it won't allow you to loose any weight.
I think you are off to get beginning and by the way, BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!!!!

Hi, I am not sure about everyone else but I have just finished my first week and lost 7lbs - i lost a bit more when i cut down on the caffeine though  although i am starting to think that it may be better to start drinking it again!!!!

Are you using fitday.com to keep a check on your totals? That helps me know how much meats, cheese etc i can eat in a day, you need to be aiming for 65-70% fat, 25-30% protein and 5% carbs according to most people on the board.

As for lunches etc - i tend to spend my day off cooking and put lunches in ziplock bags so i can just grab a bag each day. i also make a big salad a few times a week and bag this individually too. So two bags and a bottle of water later and I am out the door in 2 mins :)

Today I have some chicken legs seasoned with spices, a salad with ranch dressing and for a snack - some ham slices spread with cream cheese - oh and a couple of breakfast muffins (i found the recipe on the breakfast recipes forum here) to eat on the way to work no time to eat this morning!)
