Hi,

I've been on the Atkins diet for a few month and haven't lost any weight for more than one month. I just realize that I have yeast infection.

I just found this special forum on Candida& IBS. My question is that is it possible to have yeast infection and constipation instead of IBS? If I do the yeast restriction diet, shall I take fiber for constipation or probiotics?

I don't know much about probiotics, could some one please give me some suggestion and some articles to read.

Thanks so much!

Hi Song:
I've never been diagnosed with IBS but I think that IBS and candida are often the same things (except in the case of Celiac Disease). I hope one day the understanding will be that they are the same thing and people will get more relief for their IBS diagnosis.

How much probiotics? Hmmmm....I buy refrigerated acidophilus from my local health food store and take 3 to 6 pills a day as maintenance. My fungal infection lets me know it is not happy by giving me achey pain in my shoulder and neck and sometimes in my buttock - ALL of this occurs on the left side of my body and never on my right - weird!
