Just tried to access JV Askem's site at
www.olympus.net/personal/cablebar/ and got a "not found"
error.

What gives? Has the site been taken down? I realize the guy's
dead and all, but that's no excuse for taking it down.

Does anyone know what's happened to the site material? I think
I can find a place to put it up if it's still available...
would be a shame to lose the resource. He had a good analysis
of squatting, and good oly stuff.

There's a lot of proxy errors trying to access the Wayback
Machine right now.

I know that he gave Ironmind all of his writings, so I wonder
if they have any intention to host those pages.

Someone should prod them to do so. I'm going to haunt the
archive for a while... some of the good stuff doesn't seem to
be available right now.

Ironmind is currently selling two books and a videotape by
J.V. Askem, the proceeds from which go to the Paul Anderson
Youth Home. If these publications contain a lot of the same
information found on those web pages (and I don't know whether
they do or not), it probably wouldn't make much sense for
Ironmind to host them.

You're probably right. I'm going to follow up on this
with Randall Strossen. That website is too valuable to
just let die.

Great job Wayne! Too good a resource to lose.

Great! Being dead is no reason to stop giving good advice.
